Wolves have appeared in the Premier League once before in the 2003-2004 season. That first venture into the top league wasn’t a great success as they never managed a win away from home the whole season, finished bottom of the table and accumulated 33 points in total.
Wolves do carry a big squad of players and of the promoted teams at first glance would appear to have the vest chance of surviving. But we wouldn’t bet on Wolves being outside the drop zone come the end of next season.
Wolves style of play reminds us of West Brom. They like to play football and are pleasing on the eye to watch and are capable of scoring goals. But just West Brom they might find the Premier League a lot more unforgiving than the Championship and we’re not too sure if their style of play will win them enough points to stay up.
We’re having difficulty assessing the chances of Wolverhampton Wanderers and what Wolves bets, if any are worth considering.
If things go well they could finish bottom half, or at least avoid relegation. We think they may struggle and find themselves near the foot of the table for the whole season.
If we were to have a bet on Wolves it would probably b eon them being relegated, although we wouldn’t be doing so with a great deal of confidence. We’d be surprised if they had a run in any of the cups and we’d be shocked if they managed to finish higher than around 13th position.
With only two games played in the Premier league against each of the top four sides there’s not enough data to really say how they will do when they meet the top teams
The Wolverhampton Wanderer bets we’d advise for next season are probably taking them to win at home against teams outside the big four with the addition of Villa, Everton and Spurs.
Survival in the Premier League will be their main aim and they might just manage that.
