Weekend Premier League Football Betting - Liverpool Can Close Gap on United
With Manchester United having a day out at Wembley, Liverpool can close the gap to four points with a win at Middlesbrough. The Reds are unbeaten in their last seven away games and they should be a safe bet at 9/11(Betfair) to come away with a win.
Middlesbrough, despite having a couple of decent cup wins have still not won for 14 league matches. They have had three consecutive draws at home in the league and the are 5/2 (Coral) to get another on Saturday. We’re sticking with a Liverpool win and are having a bet on the 2-0 correct score at 6/1 (Coral).
Hull and Blackburn had differing results in the cup midweek and we think Hull could be buoyed by their win over Sheffield United and take all three points. Blackburn still seem to be finding it hard to score and have only managed one in their last three league games. Blackburn are also without a win in nine away games and to us that makes the 15/8 (VCBet) on offer for a Hull win a bet not to be missed.
Our prediction is Hull to win 2-0 13/1 (Paddypower).
Wigan have never beaten Chelsea in the Premier League and there’s nothing to suggest that will be altered come the end of 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge. Wigan have had a decent season so far, but no wins in four away games isn’t the form you’d want to take into this match. Chelsea have to be backed at 1/3 (Ladbrokes).
We’re going for Chelsea to win 3-0 8/1 (Bluesq). Our first goalscorer tip is Michael Ballack 8/1 (Partybets).
Everton can keep up their push for a European spot with a win over bottom club West Bromwich Albion. Unbeaten in five at home Everton at 4/9 (Bodog) should be comfortable winners-even with the squad decimated with injuries.
Our prediction is a 3-1 Everton win at 14/1 (Skybet). Our first goalscorer selection is Fellaini 7/1 (Ladbrokes).
Fulham have lost on there last four visits to Arsenal and with their poor away form, you have to side with Arsenal in this one. We’re going for an Arsenal win 4/11(Bodog), but think Fulham might put up some plucky resistance so we’re going with a 1-0 scoreline 11/2 (Partybets).
West Ham and Manchester City look likely to share the points in their game and we’re taking the draw 9/4 (Partybets) and 1-1 result 11/2 (Bet365).
Aston Villa saved a lot of their players for this game by not sending them to Europe on Thursday and that decision can pay dividends with all three points against Stoke.
Villa 4/9 (Ladbrokes) look a banker bet against the worst away team in the league. Try a bet on the 3-0 correct score at 9/1 (VCBet). Gareth Barry 10/1 looks a decent price to be first goalscorer.
Bolton look a great bet at Evens (Bodog) to get a home win against Newcastle. Bolton’s home form has been decent and although Newcastle have had a couple of draws recently we think Bolton will out muscle the Newcastle defence and capture the points.
Our prediction is a 2-1 win for Bolton at 9/1 (Betfair). Our first goalscorer pick is Kevin Davies 13/2 (Bet365).
