Weekend Football Bets –Best Homes Aways and Draws
This week we’ve segregated our selections into homes, away’s and draws to give you what we believe to be value bets at a glance.
Home Wins
Reading have the best home record in the Championship and it’s hard to see Watford who have only managed one away win all season putting up any real resistance. This looks a banker home bet at 4/9 (Bodog). * This match is a Friday evening kick off*
Our Prediction Reading to win 3-1 12/1 (Skybet).
Fulham are now seven games unbeaten at home and have managed two draws and a win from their last three matches against Blackburn at home. This will be a close match but we think Fulham can just shade it and the 11/10 (Bet365) looks a nice price.
Our Prediction Fulham to win 2-1 7/1 (Partybets)
Ayr United are doing well in the First Division and they are at home to SPL side Kilmarnock in a local derby in the Scottish Cup. The last twice these two teams have met in the Cup Ayr have came out on top and with Kilmarnock finding goals hard to come by we can see an upset here. Ayr are 7/2 (Coral) and look worth backing at that price.
Our Prediction is a 2-1 win for Ayr United at odds of 16/1 (Coral).
Sheffield United have been moving up the league recently and are now in a play off place. They are on an unbeaten run of 15 games and they look set to extend that run with a win over Norwich who haven’t picked up many points on their travels this season.
Sheffield United are 8/13 (Ladbrokes) and should be backed,
Our Prediction Sheffield United to win 2-0 13/2 (Skybet)
Leicester look set to stay top of League One with a home win against Leyton Orient.
Orient are without a win in five games and are up against a Leicester side with the best home record in the league so everything points to a home win for Leicester at 2/5 (Partybets).
Our Prediction a 2-1 Leicester win at 44/5 (Betfair)
Chester have been awful away from home and Shrewsbury can take full advantage of this and run out easy winners of this local derby.
Our Prediction 3-1win to Shrewsbury at odds of 12/1 (Partybets)
Macclesfield look to be quite evenly matched with Port Vale, but Port Vale haven’t won any of their last three away matches and we’re siding with the home team to get a win at nice odds. Macclesfield are 5/4 (Partybets) and look decent value.
Our Prediction 1-0 to Macclesfield 44/5 (Betfair).
Away Wins
With only three defeats in their last nine league matches Huddersfield are one of the in form sides in League One. They could be worth backing at 7/4 (Skybet) to get a win at Northampton whose home form has been indifferent of late.
Our Prediction 2-1 win for Huddersfield 9/1 (Bet365)
Dundee United are in good form at present and the SPL side should have no trouble in beating Third Division East Stirling. United who are currently third in the SPL are unbeaten in their last seven matches and look a banker bet to win away from home at 2/7 (Bet365)
Our Prediction 3-0 to Dundee United 6/1 (Partybets).
Also in the Scottish Cup we like the look of Hamilton away at Ross County. The First Division team are pretty inconsistent and although Hamilton went through a terrible run of form in the SPL –no win in 11 games-they have won two of their last three matches and look to be back in form. The 11/10 (Ladbrokes) for a Hamilton win looks a decent bet.
Our Prediction a 2-1 win to Hamilton 15/2 (Paddypower).
High flying Brentford look capable of getting a win at Lincoln .Brentford are on a run of seven matches without defeat and at 7/4 (Coral) they look to have a good chance of picking up all three points.
Our Prediction Brentford to win 3-1 25/1 (Vcbet).
Draws
In the Scottish Cup Fourth Round the big tie is the Edinburgh derby between Hibernian and Hearts. Three of their last four meetings have ended in draws and there’s not too much between the teams this season. We’re going for a draw 9/4 (Partybets). We think there may be a couple of goals in the game and the First goalscorer bet on Derek Riordan 13/2 (Skybet) could give a return.
Our Prediction 1-1 11/2 (Ladbrokes)
Chelsea don’t look invincible any more at home but their away record this season has been excellent and we believe they can take a point from their visit to Old Trafford. Manchester United would close the gap on Chelsea if they won , but with four of the last ten league meetings between the two clubs finishing all square we think a draw 12.5 (Bodog) is the probable outcome .
Our Prediction is a 1-1 scoreline at 5/1 (Vcbet).
Dagenham & Redbridge play league leaders Wycombe in League Two and we think the fourth placed team can get a point and keep their promotion hopes alive.
Our prediction 1-1 6/1 (Bet365).
