Weekend Football Bets - Chelsea To Keep Top Spot

Premier League

After their shock defeat to Burnley in the Carling Cup Chelsea can get back to winning ways when they visit West Brom tomorrow.

Still unbeaten away from home Chelsea can maintain that record and at 2/7 (Bodog) look worth including in any multiple bets. The 2-0 correct score 11/2 (Skybet) looks a worthwhile bet and Anelka to be first goalscorer 4/1 (Paddypower) is another bet we like the look of.

Bolton have won their last two matches, but that run looks likely to end when Liverpool come calling. Liverpool haven’t found Bolton the easiest place to get a result in recent seasons, winning just once in their last five visits. This should be a close match, but we’re siding with Liverpool to get a narrow win 8/13 (Ladbrokes). The 2-1 correct score interest us and at 7/1 (Bet365) we’ll be having a small bet.

Arsenal have won their last three home matches in the league and with Villa looking a little out of sorts in their last couple of league games, we’re going for an Arsenal home win 8/15 (Coral).

Manchester United can keep in touch with the leaders by beating Stoke at Old Trafford. Stoke haven’t won away from home yet and may find chances hard to come by in this match. United look a banker bet at 1/7 (Bodog) and we’re going for a 4-0 correct score bet 8/1 (Partybets). Darren Fletcher is 11/1 (Partybets) to be first goalscorer and we think he’s worth a small bet.

It’s 2002 since Spurs last won at Fulham, but we’re taking the Spurs bandwagon to continue rolling and we’re going for a win for Spurs at 5/4 (Coral).

In other premier league matches being played we’re taking Blackburn –at a very generous 11/10 (Skybet)-to beat Sunderland.

We think Wigan 11/4 (Partybets) can win at Newcastle and a bet on the 1-0 correct score 9/1 (Paddypower) is worth a small investment.

West Ham are now without a win in six games and with Portsmouth unbeaten in six matches against the Hammers-including three wins at Upton Park-Portsmouth look a decent betting proposition at 15/8 (Bet365).

Everton have put three wins in a row on the board and although their home form has been poor so far this season we’re going for them to beat Middlesbrough by 1-0 6/1 (Ladbrokes) Everton are 10/13 Bodog) to get a win and look a decent bet.

Hull and Manchester City look two out of form teams at the moment. Hull haven’t won in three and City have only a UEFA Cup win in their last four matches. The draw 23/10 (Bodog) has to be worth considering, but we’re taking Hull 19/10 (Paddypower) to sneak a 1-0 win 11/1 (Betfair).

Scotland

Celtic are only 3/10 (Paddypower) to beat bottom club Hamilton and look sure to take all three pints we’re going for a 3-1 correct score 10/1 (Partybets).

Rangers surprisingly lost away to St Mirren at the beginning of October but they should get revenge here and although they are long odds on 2/13 (VCBet) we can’t see an upset this time. The 2-0 correct score is 11/2 (Skybet) and is our selection.
