Best Football Bets This Weekend-Chelsea hopes to get Hammered
Premier League
After drawing with Everton in midweek Chelsea cannot afford anything other than a win at West Ham or their title dream is over for this season. West Ham have only won one of their last seven meetings with Chelsea , but they did get a 1-1 draw away earlier in the season and they are arguably showing the best form they have for some time, so the result of this match isn’t cut and dried.
Chelsea desperately need to win and we think they might just get it. We’re going for a 1-0 correct score bet at 6/1 (Ladbrokes)
Only one defeat in five for Fulham make them one of our banker bets of the weekend at 4/5 (Skybet) to get a home win over Stoke. Stoke come into this game unbeaten in four and even a point would probably be enough to see them survive in the Premier League for another season. We can’t see it happening though. Clit Dempsey 9/1 (Skybet) is our pick as first goalscorer.
Championship
Burnley only need a point at Southampton to confirm their play off place, but we think they will get all three. Southampton have only one win from their last nine matches and even at 5/2 (Paddypower) we don’t fancy them. We’re backing a 2-1 correct score 15/2 (Bet365) and having a small bet on Chris McCann 14/1 (Ladbrokes) to be first goaslcorer.
Coventry have been drawing a lot of games recently but we’re tipping them to take all three points against Watford who haven’t won in their last four games.
With home advantage Coventry look a decent price at 11/8 (Coral) to get a home win.
Although Swansea are unbeaten in their last three away matches two of those have been draws and with Sheffield United unbeaten in six at home and still with an outside chance of pipping Birmingham for second spot they look great value at Evens (Coral) to get a home win.
League One
Brighton have put together a great run of four wins from five games and that’s seen them move out of the relegation zone. Another three points against Huddersfield could see them safe and with the terriers nothing to play for we’re predicting an away win. We’re tipping a 2-1 scoreline 8/1 (Paddypower).
League Two
One defeat in their last four games has seen Dagenham& Redbridge move into a play off spot. Their away form hasn’t been great however, but we think they could keep their momentum going by taking the three points at Notts County. County have lost their last three home games and have only won once in their last 10 games.
Bradford haven’t won in nine games and they may have to settle for a point against Rotherham. We’re predicting a draw 12/5 (Paddypower) and were going for a 1-1 correct score 6/1 (Bet365). Jamie Clark 10/1 (Ladbrokes) is our first goalscorer selection.
Scotland
It’s the Scottish FA Cup semi final stages this weekend and in the first match in Saturday Rangers are long odds on favourites at 4/11 (Ladbrokes). Rangers have won six of their last seven games against St Mirren although there’s been only one goal between them on the last three meetings. St Mirren are 10/1 (Skybet) to cause an upset, but we can’t see that happening. Kris Boyd 3/1 (Ladbrokes) has to be the choice as first goalscorer.
In the other semi SPL bottom club Falkirk play first division Dunfermline and with First division sides having performed well at this stage before we’re going for the Pars to get a surprise win. We’re taking Dunfermline to win 1-0 9/1 (Skybet).
