Best Football Bets for Wednesday
There are a few football matches for punters to bet on tonight and we’ve picked out some bets we think will get us a return on our stakes.
Premier League
Manchester United go to Wigan hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Premiership and not having lost to a team outside the top seven away from home this season another win looks likely. At 1/3 (Coral) Manchester United aren’t going to win you a fortune but opponents Wigan haven’t won any of their last five matches and have looked sadly out of form (and luck) recently. Wigan have never beaten United in a Premier League game and we think that looks likely to remain the same after the game tonight. Our first goalscorer pick is Ji-Sung Park 11/1 (Bet365).
Scotland
In the SPL Rangers have their title hopes in their own hands and can go back on top tonight if they win in Edinburgh against Hibernian.
Hibs got a morale boosting derby win over Hearts last weekend and are unbeaten in their last three games. They have only lost twice in eight games but it’s been 2006 since they last managed to beat Rangers in an SPL league game and that’s why they are available at 13/2 (Coral).
Rangers are 8/15 (Paddypower) and with such a good win record over their opponents don’t look too bad a price. Five of the last eight games have yielded three goals or more and the over 2.5goals 4/5 (Skybet) is one we’ll be on.
Mathematically Hamilton need a point tonight to ensure SPL football for another season. They are at home to bottom club Falkirk and against a team who haven’t won an away league game in their last 12 attempts Hamilton get our vote. We’ll be having a bet on a 2-0 correct score 9/1 (Paddypower) and tipping Simon Mensing 16/1 (Paddypower) to get the first goal.
Neither Kilmarnock nor St Mirren can be backed with any real confidence to win this game. Kilmarnock have only won one of their last six home games and St Mirren have bee struggling lately too. We’re tipping a 0-0 scoreline 8/1 (Ladbrokes)
In the other SPL match tonight we’re tipping the draw in the match between Motherwell and Inverness. We’re selecting a 1-1 correct score at 11/1 (Ladbrokes). David Clarkson 6/1 (Bet365) to be first goalscorer loos a decent bet.
