Champions League–Roma v Arsenal
BEST BET- Porto Home Win 13/10 (Paddypower)
Arsenal have a precious one goal lead going into their match with Roma and they might be a little disappointed that it wasn’t more after their fine showing in the first leg.
Being a goal down means Roma have to score two goals tonight and while they are not foolish enough to be gung ho about it, they will have to have a go at Arsenal at some stage and that could leave gaps for the Gunners to exploit.
Despite what many see as indifferent form recently Arsenal are on a 17 match unbeaten run in all competitions, okay nine of those have been draws, but the figures go to prove that Arsenal are still hard to beat and the 6/4 (BET365)on offer on Roma doesn’t seem such a good bet when you take that into consideration.
We expect Arsenal to score tonight and at 23/10 (Vcbet) to get the win they ‘re a decent price. We’re going for the draw as our selection however at 21/10 (Partybets).
We’re predicting a 1-1 scoreline 11/2 (Ladbrokes).
The Manchester United Inter Milan tie is delicately poised at 0-0 giving both sides a great opportunity to progress. Sir Alex has already started his mind games saying Inter will play for penalties (In the hope they will come and play an open game that would suit United) and while they might not be quite as defensive as that, we think they’ll be quite defensive.
We don’t see many goals in this match and the under 2/5 goals is abet worth considering at 4/6 (Paddypower). United are unbeaten in 18 home matches in the competition proper and it’s a record Inter will do well to break.
Inter do look a bit too long a price at 9/2 (Coral) to get the win however and with Jose Mourinho having lost only once in five matches at Old Trafford there could be a case for taking a chance on them at the price.
In what could turn out to be a very cagey ,tactical match we’r e going with United to just shade it and it could take a bit of magic from someone like Bebatov to win the game and so he’s our selection as first goalscorer at 6/1 (Ladbrokes).
Our predicton Manchester United to win 20/31 (Bodog) with a scoreline of 1-0 11/2 (Vcbet)
Barcelona and Lyon are locked at 1-1 after their first leg tie and this tie could be a real cracker. Both teams love to attack and the over 2.5 goals 4/5 (Skybet) has to be of interest because of this.
Lyon were good value for their draw in the first leg and at 9/1 (Skybet) to win tonight they look to be overpriced, but that doesn’t mean they will win. We do think they are capable of getting a draw and betting on them to qualifying 5/1 (BET365) is a bet we like.
We’re having a small bet on the 2-2 correct score 20/1 (Partybets) and for first goalscorer bets you have to take Roma’s free kick wizard Juninho 14/1 (Paddypower) and maybe Thierry Henry 5/1 (Coral)
Our prediction A draw 7/2 (BET365).
Porto look to hold the upper hand against Atletico Madrid after a fine 2-2 draw away from home. Porto were desperately unlucky not to win in Madrid and should finish the task off tonight by winning with a bit to spare.
Defensively Atletico aren’t good at times and look vulnerable, the 5/2 (Ladbrokes) on offer doesn’t tempt us and it has to be a Porto win.
Our prediction Porto to win at 13/10 (Paddypower). Take a 2-0 correct score bet 13/2 (Partybets)
