Newcastle travel to Aston Villa for their final game of the season( and probably their final match in the Premier League for a while) knowing even if they were to pick up all three points their survival might not be guaranteed.

Newcastle are relying on Hull and Sunderland to get nothing from their games while they get a win. It looks an almost impossible task for the Magpies who have only managed two wins away from home all season. Villa are unbeaten in three at home and seem to have got over their loss of form that plagued them towards the end of the season. Our prediction is a win for Villa at an extremely generous 7/5 (Skybet).

Middlesbrough need a miracle (or three) to survive… and it’s not going to happen. They’ve lost their last 11 games away from the Riverside and we can’t see any change in fortune away at West Ham.

The Hammers have lost their last two home games, but will be looking to finish the season with a win in front of their own fans. we’re going for a 3-0 win 22/1 (Paddypower). Mark Noble 14/1 (Skybet) is our pick to be first goalscorer.

Hull would probably have wanted to finish the season against any team other than Champions Manchester United, but this could end up in their favour. It’s likely that United will field some fringe players in this game and we think Hull can salvage their season here. We’re predicting a final score of 1-1 13/2 (Skybet).

Sunderland have no wins in their last four games and the cause or some of it anyway has to be down to really poor finishing. We can’t see how they will penetrate the Chelsea defence and we have to take the Chelsea to win to nil bet at 5/2 (Paddypower).

Sunderland are 3/1 (Coral) to get the win but don’t look good value at that price. The value to us looks to be in backing Chelsea to win at Evens (Paddypower). Chelsea may rest a couple of big names for this game with the Cup Final coming up, but they will still win.

Arsenal at 1/3 (Coral) look a banker bet to beat Stoke. We’re predicting a 3-1 win 10/1(Bet365). Andrey Arshavin 5/1 (Coral) is our pick to score the first goal.

We’re going for the Manchester City and Bolton match to be a dull end of season affair and we’re going for a draw 13/5 (Bet365.com). We’re also selecting the 0-0 correct score at 14/1 (Skybet).

Scotland

The title will be decided on the last day in Scotland and Rangers look to hold all the aces going into the final day as they have a two point lead over rivals Celtic. But the SPL title race this season has had more twists and turns than an Agatha Christie novel and it could all change again.

Rangers travel to Dundee United on Sunday and twice already this season they have had to settle for a point against United. Rangers haven’t won in their last four visits to Tannadice and we wouldn’t be putting the mortgage on Rangers at 1/2 (Bet365) to take all three points.

Three of the last five meetings between the two teams have been score draws and the draw is available at 3/1 (Ladbrokes) and that looks a bet worth serious consideration.

We’re going to tip a shock result that will hand the title to Celtic and we’re taking Dundee United to win 6/1 (Skybet) and we’re going for a 2-1 correct score 25/1 (Coral).

Celtic will have a tough task at home against Hearts, but we believe they can take all three points and they are 1/4 (Paddypower). We’re predicting a 2-0 correct score 5/1 (Ladbrokes)
