Premiership Football Betting This Weekend

Which teams are going to come out on top in this weekend’s Premier League fixtures? We’re taking a look at the bets we think might show a profit on your stake.

The Merseyside Derby between Everton and Liverpool will be a fiercely contested match as usual, but Everton don’t have a great record in these matches with only two wins in the last twelve meetings. This is reflected in the betting where Liverpool are 6/5 (Ladbrokes) favourites despite being the away team, while Everton are 5/2 (Partybets).

Out of the last eight matches between the clubs played at Goodison, the winning team has scored three goals five times and the 3-0 20/1 (Ladbrokes) and 3-1 18/1 (Skybet) correct score bets in Liverpool’s favour are worth considering at big prices. We’re going for Liverpool to win and are taking Robbie Keane to get the first goal at 8/1 (Coral).

Sunderland managed a draw and an away win against Villa last season and we don’t think there will be a lot between the two sides tomorrow. Villa are unbeaten at home this season and while we reckon they still might be after tomorrows match, we think they may have to settle for a draw 13/5 (Partybets). We’re tipping a 1-1 correct score 6/1 (Partybets).

Blackburn are away at Newcastle and with the Magpies seemingly in disarray and with the news that Martins is out injured this looks a great chance for Blackburn to get three points. Blackburn are 17/10 (Bodog) and look decent value to add more woes to a beleaguered Newcastle. We’re going for a 2-0 win for Blackburn at 13/1 (Paddypower).

Portsmouth have shipped ten goals in their last two matches and will be looking to tighten up their defence against a Spurs side who are looking for their first win of the season. Portsmouth are 6/4 (Skybet) to get the home win, but their recent record against Spurs isn’t great with only one draw from their last six matches against the London club.

Having beaten Newcastle in the Carling Cup during the week Tottenham will be relishing a meeting with a team who are leaking goals and they look a decent bet to get an away win 2/1 (Bet365).The 2-0 correct score 12/1 (Partybets) is where we’re putting our money. Now he has got off the mark Roman Pavulychenko could be a decent bet at 7/1 (Ladbrokes) to be the first goalscorer.

Man Utd 1/4 (Skybet). Chelsea 4/11 (VCbet) and Arsenal 1/5 (Bodog) all look as if they will win comfortably.

Fulham v West Ham looks like a draw to us and at 9/4 (Bet365) could be worth backing.

In the other two matches we’re going for home wins for Middlesbrough 4/6 (Paddypower) and Wigan 12/5 (Skybet).
