With Wolves already promoted there’s one final automatic promotion spot still up for grabs and that looks now as if it only concerns Birmingham and Sheffield United.

Birmingham currently hold a four point lead over Sheffield United at present but have played a game more and are still favourites with the bookies to claim the second promotion place.

Sheffield United are on a great run of form at present and have gone 12 matches without defeat. Their away for is even better as they have gone a staggering15 games away from home without tasting defeat. The bookmakers are finding it quite difficult to separate the two teams as they both have lots to play for and with United on such a good run we’re sure there will be plenty of takers for the 7/4 on offer (Paddypower).

Burnley are by no means out of this game and have everything to play for. A win would consolidate their play-off position and move them above Reading. Three points would also give them a bit of breathing space over Swansea and Preston who mathematically can both pip Burnley to a play off spot.

Back in December Burnley put in a great performance to beat the Blades 3-2 at Bramall Lane and another performance like that could once again see Owen Coyle’s men take all three points. The Clarets also have a decent record against the other top six teams winning three drawing three and losing three of their matches. Burnley were beaten by Cardiff last week, but that was their first defeat in seven games and they have won their last three home matches, at 13/8 (Bet365) they look to be a decent value bet.

Burnley don’t fail to score very often at home and Sheffield United don’t fail to score away too often either so the over 2.5 goals at Evens (Skybet) is a bet we’re likely to be having.

This really is a game that’s hard to predict and could go both way and so for that reason we’re going to plump for a draw 12/5 (Skybet). Our selection to be first goalscorer is Robbie Blake at 17/2 (Bet365)
