Weekend Football-Pre Season Matches.
Plenty of teams are in action this weekend playing friendly matches in the build up to the season starting. We’ve picked out what we think are the best bets from the fixtures taking place.
FRIDAY
Harry Redknapp takes his Tottenham team to old club Bournemouth this evening and he’s sure to put out a reasonably strong team and so the 2/7 (Coral) looks a fair price about them winning. We’re going to have a bet on the over 2.5 goals at 8/13 (Betfair) and we’ll also be having a small be on a 4-1 correct score at odds of 14/1 (Ladbrokes).
Dundee United won 2-0 at Dunfermline earlier this week and we can see then getting a similar scoreline when they visit Arbroath tonight. The 1/2 (Bet365) looks worth taking abut Dundee United.
SATURDAY
Newcastle make the short trip to Darlington for their friendly match and are 4/6 (Skybet) to get the win. We will be interested to see how the Newcastle perform-whether they look up for it or not-but think it could pay to go for the unexpected here and we’re tipping a draw 12/5 (Paddypower).
Arsenal 1/5 (Coral) will beat Barnet but it’s just a case of by how many. Even playing only squad players we should see Arsenal score a few and we’re going for a 5- 0 win at 14/1 (Coral).
Huddersfield look a good price at 11/10 (Skybet) to get a win at League Two club Morecambe. Huddersfield finished last season quite well and we think they could be challenging for promotion this season. We’re going for a 3-1 correct score in this match at odds of 12/1 (Coral).
Ajax beat Bristol City 4-0 on Wednesday and they could win by an even bigger margin against Southampton. At only 4/5 (Skybet) Ajax are worth a punt and the half time/full time bet of Ajax/Ajax at 7/4 (Coral) has to be worth a bet at that price.
We can’t believe that Bradford are as big as 5/4 (Skybet) to beat York City. This looks one of the best bets of the day. Bradford may well be fielding a few trialists, but we can’t see them being beaten by the Conference team. We’re having a small bet on a 3-1 correct score 16/1 (Coral).
SUNDAY
Liverpool only managed a 0-0 draw with St Gallen in their first pre season friendly of the season. We can’t see them drawing a blank again and we’re tipping a Liverpool win 8/15 (Paddypower). The 2-0 correct score bet at 5/1 (Coral) is worth a bet.
David Beckham and his LA Galaxy team mates take on AC Milan and we think this match could end up all square Italian sides usually don’t give their all in friendly matches and we’re tipping a draw 9/4 (Paddypower).
