Football Monday/Tuesday
There are a few pre season friendly matches taking place tonight and second qualifying round matches in the Champions league on offer tomorrow.
While there are no big name teams taking part in any of the matches, from a betting point of view there are still opportunities to grab a bit of value and hopefully place some winning bets.
Monday
It’s pre season friendly matches tonight and quite often these can throw up a few surprise results as teams try and gain their fitness and bed in new players.
Hereford found life tough in League One last season only winning nine times from forty six games and finished five points adrift at the bottom. They are at home to Bristol City who finished a respectable 10th in the Championship. Hereford leaked goals and didn’t score too many last season and we’re taking Bristol City to show up these defensive weaknesses and we’re going for an away win at what looks a generous price of Evens (Coral).
As part of a pre season tour in Austria Notts County play Romanian side Universitat Craiova and the Romanians who finished fifth in their top flight last year should be too good for Notts County. Craiova are available at 11/10 (Bet365) and must be worth getting on at that a price.
Tuesday
The Belarus champions BATE made the group stages of the Champions league and even managed to get a 2-2 draw away at Juventus last season and they look a brilliant price at 6/5 ( Paddypower) to get an away win against Macedonian champions FC Makedonjia.
If they have retained half the talent they possessed last season then they should win this match. They won a couple of their qualifying matches away from home by 1-0 scores last season and we’re going for a repeat tonight with a 1-0 correct score bet at 5/1 (Coral).
Welsh Champions Rhyl look to have drawn a tough task against Serbian Champions Partizan Belgrade. Rhyl took a bit of a pasting as they went out of the Inter Toto cup last season to Bohemians of Dublin on a 9-3 aggregate and another heavy defeat looks likely.
Partizan are 2/5 (Paddypower) to win and that looks pretty much a banker bet.
We’re going to go for a 4-1 win for Partizan 20/1 (Coral).
As Anorthosis proved last year in the Champions league by almost qualifying from the group matches football in Cyprus is improving fast and APOEL should have no problems in disposing of Fare Island team Streymur. APOEL are a short price at 2/5 (Paddypower) but you can’t back against them. Try a bet on the 2-0 correct score at 5/1 (Coral).
