Weekend Football betting-Aston Villa v OB

Aston Villa twice surrendered the lead in their first –leg match in Denmark against OB but with two away goals in the bag they look favourites to go through to the next round. They should notch the win tomorrow 2/7 (Coral) and we’re going for a 3-0 win at 7/1 (Paddypower) to be the final score.
Swedish outfit Elfsborg only managed a 1-0 win against Riga at home a result that will give the Latvian side a hope of causing an upset. We believe Riga will have trouble breaking down a well drilled Elfsborg defence and we’re going for a draw 9/4 (Skybet) with a 0-0 scoreline 6/1 (Coral) in this match.
French side Rennes needed a late goal to beat Ukrainians Tavria at home last week in a close game. With home advantage we think Tavria could win this and look a decent price at 8/5 (Partybets).
Stuttgart were expected to win in Russia last week against Saturn, but the Russians more than matched their more illustrious opponents and at 8/15 (Partybets) Stuttgart are by no means guaranteed to win the second leg. We fancy a bit of an upset here and think the Russian side can win in Germany and are taking the 9/2 (Paddypower) on offer.
Friendly Matches
There’s a bet today (Friday) that we think is just screaming out “Back me!” It’s in the friendly match between Kaiserslautern and SPL side Hearts. We can’t believe Kaiserslautern are 7/5 (Partybets) to win and think they are a great bet. The SPL side have been in turmoil on and off the field and they struggled in the SPL last season. Hearts will have needed to improve beyond all recognition to beat the German side and we don’t believe they have…this is definitely the best bet of the day in our opinion.
Of the games taking place on Saturday Barcelona 4/11 (Coral) will beat Dundee United 6/1 (Skybet). Barcelona knocked in six goals against SPL side Hibernian and while Dundee United may give them a little more to do we think the 3-0 15/2 (Skybet) and 4-0 14/1 (Paddypower) correct scores are worth considering.
Sheffield United look decent value at 6/5 (Coral) to win at Scunthorpe and another away team at a decent price are Manchester City at 2/1 to beat Hamburg.
Scottish Challenge Cup
Annan Athletic play their first competitive game as a Scottish League side, but they face a tough task away to Clyde. Clyde 2/7 (Partybets) should be too good for the newcomers and look a banker bet.
Other bets we like in the first round of this competition are Ayr 8/11 (VCbet) to beat East Stirling, Partick Thistle 1/2 (Partybets) against Queens Park and St Johnstone look reasonable value at 6/5 (Ladbrokes) to win away at Ross County.
