Champions League- Arsenal and Liverpool to make Group Stages

Arsenal and Liverpool are both in action in the Champions League tonight with both teams looking certainties to qualify for the group stages.

Liverpool look to have the hardest task of the two Premiership teams after they could only manage a 0-0 draw in Belgium against Standard. The Liverpool performance that night can be summed up in one word “Awful” and they were extremely fortunate not to come away with two or three goal deficit. We just can’t see Liverpool playing so badly again and although the odds on a victory tonight are a little cramped to say the least 1/6 (Skybet) they look a safe bet to win the match.

The 3-0 correct score 11/2 (Partybets) is our prediction and we’re taking Robbie Keane to be the first goalscorer at 5/1 (Coral).

Arsenal won 2-0 in Holland against Twente and they are odds on at 2/9 (Partybets) to win tonight. If Twente were to win 15/1 (VCbet) it would be a bigger shock than Steve McLarens new Dutch accent! Arsenal should win this with some ease and the correct scores of 3-0 7/1 and 4-0 12/1 (both Ladbrokes) are the ones that take our eye.

The over +2.5 goals at 4/7 (Skybet) looks worth an interest and Samir Nasri at 9/1 (Paddypower) is our selection to get the first goal.

Onorthosis of Cyprus have been a bit of a surprise team in the tournament so far and we’ve been lucky enough to tip them on a couple of occasions at decent prices. They take a 3-0 advantage into their second-leg match in Greece tonight against Olympiacos and they are worth a bet at 12/1 (Bodog) to come up with another away win tonight.

Onorthosis can take advantage of Olympiacos going in search of the goals they need to qualify and we’re having a small stake on the 2-1 correct score at 40/1 (Skybet).

Steau Bucharest 7/5 (Bodog) look good enough to get a win against Galatasaray, although there won’t be a lot between the two sides. Steau to win 1-0 at 7/1 (Paddypower) looks a good price in our opinion and could be worth a small stake.

Dinamo Kiev have a 4-1 lead from their first match with Spartak Moscow and the home win tonight looks attractive at 10/11 (Partybets).

We’re taking Guimares to win away in Switzerland against Basel. The first match ended 0-0 and at 5/1 (Betfair) we reckon Guimares could sneak a goal which would see them through. We’re going for Guimares to win 1-0 9/1 (Paddypower)
