Football Bets for Boxing Day
There’s a full English League Program of matches on Boxing Day and hopefully we can pick out some bets for you that will bring some festive cheer.
Premier League
Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal all seem to be finding it hard to pick up three points and Man Utd seem to have increased their chances of winning the title without even playing.
Chelsea would seem to have the easiest task of the big four with a home match against West Brom. Chelsea have only won three home matches this season but despite that we think at odds of 2/11 (Betfair).they will get the three points against West Brom.
We’re going for a 4-0 win at 15/2 (Partybets) and think Frank Lampard 11/2 (Coral) could be worth backing to be first goalscorer.
Liverpool are at home to Bolton who have only lost one of their last four away matches. Bolton have never managed to beat Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League and although they are in good form at present even at odds of 11/1 (Bet365) we think it’s pretty hard to make a case for them picking up all three points.
Despite drawing their last three home matches Liverpool remain unbeaten in nine at home and so we think they are worth backing at 4/11(Coral) to get a win.
We’re tipping a 3-0 correct score at 8/1 (VCbet).
Manchester Utd travel to Stoke and we think this could be tricky match for United. Stoke are unbeaten in their last six home matches and have had good home wins against Arsenal and Aston Villa already this season. United have had more draws than wins away from home this season and we think this could be another.
United are 1/3 (Skybet) to win, while Stoke are 19/2 (Bodog). We’re tipping the draw 18/5 (Partybets) and are going for a 1-1 correct score bet at 10/1 (Skybet).
Hull look a great price at 7/2 (Bet365) to upset Manchester City and we’re going for a 2-1 correct score at 16/1 (Coral).
Sunderland at 6/5 (Partybets) look a good price to beat Blackburn at home and we think Aston Villa and Arsenal will share the points in their match and we’re taking the draw at 23/10 (Bodog).
Championship
In the Championship we think one of the best bets could be Ipswich Town who are 6/4 (Partybets) to beat third placed Birmingham. Ipswich could take advantage of Birmingham’s recent dip in form and we’re going for a 1-0 win at 7/1 (Paddypower).
Nottingham Forest Evens (Coral), Sheffield Wednesday Evens (Bodog) and Wolves 3/4 (Paddypower) all look capable of getting home wins at nice prices.
League One
Bristol Rovers have only managed one win in their last eight games and MK Dons look a fantastic price at 5/4 (Partybets) to get the away win. MK Dons have won their last four away matches and we’re going for a 2-1 correct score 7/1 (VCbet).
Carlisle have lost their last four league matches and with Huddersfield on a good run of form at present including winning their last three away games we think Huddersfield have to be baked at 5/4 (Ladbrokes) to take all three points.
League Two
We expected Wycombe to be a lot shorter than the 3/4 (Paddypower) being offered and look worth backing to beat Exeter.
Aldershot must be worth backing to get a win at Barnet who haven’t tasted victory in their last 10 games. Aldershot are 6/4 (Partybets) and we think they are one of the best bets of the day at that price.
Morecambe have great home form and a win over Macclesfield looks likely. Take the 6/5 (VCbet).
