Kick Off The New Season With Some Winning Bets

The new football season starts tomorrow for all the UK leagues apart from the English Premiership and we’re hoping we can provide you with some selections to get the new season off to a winning start.

Championship

Birmingham City are many people’s favourites for the title and they start their campaign with a home match against Sheffield United. We’re quite surprised that Birmingham aren’t odds on to win this and the Evens (Bodog) on offer looks a decent price to start us off with a winning bet.

Newly promoted Nottingham Forest look to have tough match against Reading, but we reckon this could be one of a few surprise results on the opening day and we’re going for Forest to win 13/8 (Skybet).

Cardiff are at home to Southampton who just managed to avoid relegation last season and Cardiff look great value at Even money (Bodog) to secure a home win against a side who we reckon could struggle once again this season.

League One

Bookies favourites to win the title Leeds United visit Scunthorpe and they look a decent bet at 5/4 (coral) to start their season with a win. We reckon it’s worth taking a chance on the 2-0 correct score at 10/1 (Paddypower).

Relegated Leicester meet newly promoted MK Dons at home and the Foxes could just edge this one. Leicester are 5/6 (Partybets) and we expect them to win and think the 1-0 correct score at 6/1 (Ladbrokes) is worth a bet.

League Two

Luton are already 30 points adrift after having a points deduction imposed by the FA and we reckon they could be worth backing against tomorrow. Port Vale are the visitors and we’re tempted by the 2/1 (Partybets) price on offer for a Port Vale win.

Bradford City are fancied to do well this season and are on offer at 13/14 (Betfair) to beat Notts County. They look a decent bet against a team who could struggle once more this season.

Newly promoted Aldershot are our dark horses to win promotion this season and we’re going for them to beat Accrington Stanley away from home. Aldershot are 6/4 (coral) and look worth to be worth a bet at that price.

Scotland

The SPL kicks off this weekend and it could pay to take a chance and back against a Rangers team who had a disastrous result in Europe during the week. Their opponents Falkirk, are never easy opposition to play at home and we’re tipping this to end in a draw at 3/1 (Skybet).

In the Scottish First Division we like the look of an away win for Ross County at Livingston and think they are decent value at 15/8 (coral) to get a win.
