We’re looking at the South American World Cup Qualifying matches and the Blue Square Premier League to provide us with some winning bets for today (Tuesday).

World Cup

Having beaten Argentina at the weekend to ensure qualification Brazil and their fans will be in the mood to Samba in when they take to the field to play Chile. Brazil will be looking to win this as Chile are their nearest pursuers and a win would go a long way to ensuring a group win for the Brazilians.

At 1/2 (Skybet) we think Brazil look a great bet, when you consider that Chile haven’t even managed a goal against them in their last three meetings.

Our prediction is a win for Brazil and we’re having a bet on a 3-0 correct score at 9/1 (Paddypower). Brazil to win to Nil at 6/4 (Paddypower) looks a big price and should be backed.

If Paraguay beat visitors Argentina then they have all but qualified and we’re tempted to go with them at 21/20 (Coral) to get the three points they need. Argentina are in real danger and another defeat would all but end their qualification hopes. Argentina are the bookmakers favourites at 5/4 (Bet365) but that price seems to be based on previous performances rather than on their current form. Paraguay have already secured a draw in Buenos Aires and only lost at home once in their qualifying matches so far.

We’re tipping a win for Paraguay and think a bet on a 1-0 scoreline 17/2 (Skybet) could be worthwhile. Salvador Cabanas is the man we think will pop up with the match winning goal and he is available at odds of 6/1 (Ladbrokes).

Blue Square Premier

Forest Green are without a win in eight games this season and league new boys Hayes and Yeading can take advantage of their poor form and get an away win. Hayes are 6/4 (Coral) and at that price they are just begging to be backed. We’re going for Hayes to win by 2-1 10/1 (Skybet).

The two most recent meetings between Barrow and York have resulted in draws and we’re taking that sequence to continue here. The draw is 12/5 (Bet365) and is worth a bet.

Crawley Town can take all three points from their match against Histon. Crawley have only lost once at home this season and with Histon’s away form nothing to write home about the price of  11/10 (Coral) looks a worth an investment. Crawley to win 1-0 7/1 (Ladbrokes) looks the bet to be on.

Stevenage Borough are unbeaten at home so far this season and are warm favourites at 8/13 (Paddypower) to get all three points from their home match with Eastbourne. We’re not convinced that Stevenage are great value and so we’re having a bet on Eastbourne at 9/2 (Ladbrokes). Eastbourne have beaten Stevenage on the only two occasions the teams have met in the league and we’re going for them to make it a hat trick at a decent price.
