Tuesday Night Football- Cardiff to grab Point at West Brom
Domestic and European fixtures are taking place tonight and we have picked out a few choice bets that look as if they could be profitable.
Champions League
Manchester United’s trip to Germany to play Wolfsburg was never going to be easy, but given their injury problems in defence the chances of getting a result looks nigh on impossible.
United might have to start the match with only one recognised defender in their back four and against a team who like to go forward we think the chances of United keeping a clean sheet are slim. The over 2.5 goals Evens (Skybet) has to be worth considering along with the both teams to score bet at 4/5 (Ladbrokes). United are available at 5/2 (Bet365) to get a win, but we can’t see that happening. Our choice is a home win for Wolfsburg at 11/10 (Paddypower). We’re also recommending a small bet on a 2-1 scoreline 8/1 (Ladbrokes).
Chelsea also have injuries going into their match against APOEL Nicosia, but they are at home and are playing a team who are still without a win in the group.
A Chelsea win is long odds on at 1/3 (Coral) and looks to be pretty much a certainty. We’re backing Chelsea to win to nil Evens (Bet365) and think a bet on a 3-0 correct score 7/1 (Coral) could pay off. Florent Malouda 9/1 (Ladbrokes) is our first goalscorer selection.
Championship
West Brom and Cardiff have drawn three of their last four meetings and we have a feeling this match could end up all square this evening too. West Brom go into the mach unbeaten in six at home, but Cardiff can’t afford to let West Brom open up a bigger gap over them and we feel they might come and keep things tight.
We’re predicting a draw 11/4 (Bet365) with the 0-0 result a real possibility at 11/1 (Paddypower).
Sheffield Wednesday’s slide down the table has been quite alarming and with only on win in their last 9 league games, a visit to Yorkshire rivals Doncaster would be the last place they would want to go. Doncaster will be up for the battle in this local derby and having been unbeaten in their last three at the Keepmoat Stadium look extremely attractively priced at 11/10 (Ladbrokes) to get the home win.
We expect the match to be tight, but we’re selecting the 1-0 win for Doncaster at 7/1 (Ladbrokes).
Swansea look to be worth a bet at home to lowly Plymouth. Swansea are unbeaten in 8 matches at home and can extend that run against a team who have found wins on the road rare. Five of the last six meetings between these teams have ended in a 1-0 scoreline and it could be worth taking that scoreline tonight.
Our prediction is a home win for Swansea 8/13 (Paddypower) by 1-0 6/1 (Coral). Lee Trundle 11/2 (Skybet) is our selection to be first goalscorer.
Preston haven’t managed to pick up all three points in any of their last six games and haven’t been convincing of late. Derby are on a run of three straight defeats and nine without a win away from home and haven’t looked like getting a result away from home. Derby have had two great home results against West Brom and Reading however and might just be able to take something from the match tonight.
Four of the last six meetings between these two teams have ended in draws and that is our selection tonight. We’re tipping the match t end in a draw 5/2 (Bet365) with a 1-1 scoreline 6/1 (Skybet).
