Our betting selections this come from FA Cup and league matches across the country.

FA Cup

Birmingham haven’t won any of their last three away league games and they will have a difficult task to win away at Portsmouth. Last week at Burnley Portsmouth players showed they haven’t thrown in the towel despite the clubs off field issues and battled hard for a win.

Birmingham haven’t beaten Portsmouth on their last four visits to Fratton Park and despite looking an attractive price at 9/5 (Coral) to get a win we are not sure they will. Portsmouth 13/8 (Skybet) won’t be the best value bet of the weekend at that price and so we’re selecting a draw 12/5 (Skybet) A 1-1 scoreline 11/2 (Ladbrokes) is our prediction for this match.

Reading have taken some big scalps to get this far and you can get 7/2 (Bet365) on them claiming another and beating Aston Villa. Having had a taste of Wembley in the Carling Cup Final Villa will be desperate to get back there and at only 5/6 (Paddypower) offer decent value.  We are predicting a win for Aston Villa and think the 2-1 correct score 8/1 (Skybet) may well be a winning bet. In the first goalscorer betting we are choosing Stewart Downing 16/1 (Coral).

Chelsea have beaten Stoke on their last two visits to Stamford Bridge, but only narrowly. With Stoke in good form another close run thing looks likely. Chelsea have to be our selection especially with home advantage and you can get 2/7 (Bet365) on them winning. The under 2.5 goals 5/4 (Paddypower) is a bet we recommend. We’re predicting the match to end in a 1-0 scoreline 13/2 (Paddypower) and Frank Lampard 6/1 (bet365) could get the all important goal.

Fulham have won their last six matches and you just wonder if this could be the year they pick up some silverware. A good run in the Europa Cup has appeared to have given the great confidence and they look as if they could beat Tottenham at odds of 21/10 (Bet365). With Pavlyuchenko in form for Spurs taking both teams to score 4/6 (Coral) looks to have affair chance of success. We’re predicting Fulham to win by 2-1 11/1 (Skybet). Bobby Zamora is our choice to be first goalscorer 13/2 (Paddypower).

Premier League

West Ham 5/6 (Coral) looks a bet to get on. Opponents Bolton haven’t won in 10 away from home and the Hammers can pick up a vital three points here. We’re having a bet on West Ham to win to Nil 2/1 (Skybet).

Championship

After a couple of defeats we’re tipping Derby to get back on the winning trail against Watford. The home win Evens (Paddypower) is our selection.

Coventry have won four of their last five matches and you have to think they are worth a bet at 6/4 (Ladbrokes) to get a win at bottom club Peterborough.

League Two

Accrington have good home form and are on a run of three consecutive home wins. They are priced at 19/10 (Bet365) t beat Notts County and that appears to be decent value against a team they haven’t lost to in their last three meetings. Bet on the home win by a score of 2-1 9/1 (Coral).
