Everton will be trying to put their horror show in Portugal-where they were beaten 5-0 by Benfica- behind them and prove they are better than that result.

The toffees had 11 first team squad members missing for the first match and although they do still have some injuries, they have a decent chance of taking all three points. At odds of 13/10 (Paddypower) Everton are a decent price and are worth a bet. Benfica are 21/10 (Skybet) to win and a draw is priced at 12/5 (Coral).

The result a fortnight ago looks to be a fluke to us and we don’t think a lot of goals will be scored in this game and we’re picking the under 2.5 goals 4/5 (Bet365) as a bet to be on.

We’re predicting a 1-0 win for Everton 13/2 (Skybet) and think a bet on Yakubu 7/1 (Ladbrokes) to be first goalscorer could be a winner.

Fulham were a bit unfortunate not to get the three points in their first meeting with Roma at Craven Cottage but the match in Italy against Roma will be far tougher and it will be a real struggle to get anything.

The odds of 9/2 (Coral) about a Fulham win are probably a fair reflection on their chance.  We expect Fulham to try and keep it very tight at the back and hopefully hold out for a draw 11/4 (Bet365). That does look a bit of a longshot as Roma do have a very good home record. Taking Roma to win to nil is on offer at 7/4 (Skybet) and really does look as if it is a bet that could bring returns on your stake.

Roma are 4/6 (Bet365) to win and they have to be our selection. We’re tipping them to win 2-0 13/2 (Paddypower).

It’s last chance saloon for Celtic in Germany as they try and claim their first win in the group against Hamburg. Given their recent form and their past European results away from home it would be a brave man to have a bet on them even at odds of 6/1 (Skybet).

Celtic always seem to capitulate late on in European games away from home and so we’re going to recommend a bet on the half time /full time result of Draw/Hamburg 7/2 (Ladbrokes). Hamburg are 8/15 (Bet365) to win and surely have to be backed at that price.

Our prediction is a win for Hamburg and we’re predicting a 3-1 correct score 14/1 (Skybet). A first goalscorer bet on Marcus Berg 5/1 (Paddypower) has a great chance of being a winning bet.

A bet on Panathinaikos 11/10 (Ladbrokes) to get a win against Sturm Graz should bring some winnings.

We’re also selecting Red Bull Salzburg to get an away win 6/5 (Skybet).

The game between FC Copenhagen and PSV looks as if it could end in a draw at 23/10 (Bet365).
