Football Betting-Sunderland to Nail the Hammers

Premier League

With Chelsea having lost their last two away games and Bolton in decent form, we’re taking a chance on Bolton getting something from this match. We’re selecting a draw 10/3 (Bet365) and are tipping a 1-1 scoreline 7/1 (Skybet).

Having suffered their first home defeat of the season pressure will be on Burnley to bounce back against Hull and get a result. Hull will be under pressure too as rumours persist that a defeat here could see them parting company with manager Phil Brown.

A close game is in prospect and we think the home side might just manage to take all three points. We’re predicting a home win for Burnley 10/11 (Coral) and we’re having a bet on a 2-1 scoreline 15/2 (Skybet). Robbie Blake 8/1 (Paddypower) is our pick to be first goalscorer.

The first bet we will be having on the Sunderland v West Ham game is on their being over 2.5 goals at 5/6 (Coral). Only one home match this season at the Stadium of Light has yielded less than 2.5 goals and with Sunderland in good home form we think there could be goals in this game. The Hammers are without a win in 8 games and we can’t see them salvaging anything here.

We’re going for a home win for Sunderland at Evens (Bet365) and that looks a big price given the current form of both teams and has to be taken. A 3-1 win 16/1 (Bet365) and Kenwyne Jones 6/1 (Skybet) to be firs goalscorer are another couple of bets to keep in mind.

Championship

We’re looking at two in form teams in QPR     and Leicester to provide an entertaining match in tonight’s (Friday) Championship encounter. Taking both teams to score 5/6 (Ladbrokes) is abet we’re keen on in this match and it can get the weekend off to a winning start.

This match looks as of it could end all square and so we’re picking a draw 12/5 (Paddypower) to be the outcome.

Bristol City can maintain their unbeaten home record against Sheffield Wednesday. City look a decent price at Evens (Bet365) to take the three points and we think they will win 1-0 6/1 (Ladbrokes).

League One

League One leaders Leeds are unbeaten in 7 at home and although they are a short price at 2/5 (Paddypower) to get a win against Yeovil we have to go for them. Yeovil were comprehensively beaten in this fixture last season and we can see a repeat here.

Our prediction is Leeds win with a 4-0 correct score bet 16/1 (Coral). Our pick to be first goalscorer is Bradley Johnson 7/1 (Ladbrokes).

League Two

Despite their lowly position of 19th in the league, Hereford have only lost at home once this season and they should get three points against bottom club Darlington on Saturday. Our prediction is a home win 5/6 (Ladbrokes). We’re also recommending a small bet on a 3-0 correct score 16/1 (Skybet).

Accrington Stanley may be having trouble off the field, but on it they are going well at present and we think they could get an away win against Grimsby. Accrington have won on their last two visits to Grimsby and with the home side having lost their last five matches we’re siding with Stanley to grab the three points.

Accrington at 13/8 (Coral) are a good price and we think they can be backed with some confidence. We’re predicting a 2-0 win 11/1 (Paddypower).

Scotland

Celtic have only won one of their last five games in all competition and have been struggling at home to get results. They have already dropped points at home to Motherwell and Dundee United and we think the 1/4 (Coral) is far too short a price to be taking given their current form.

Kilmarnock have only managed one goal on their last six visits to Parkhead, but we reckon they might just sneak a point here and we’re tipping a draw 5/1 (Skybet). We’re also predicting the match to end 1-1 at odds of 11/1 (Coral). Kevin Kyle is 7/2 (Bet365) to score anytime and looks worth a bet.
