Champions League – Lyon to end Reds Hopes
TUESDAY
Chelsea have already beaten Atletico Madrid 4-0 at Stamford Bridge and while we don’t expect them to score four tonight, we do expect Chelsea to win. Our prediction is a win for Chelsea 10/11 (Coral) and we’re tipping a 2-1 result 8/1 (Skybet). Our first goalscorer bet tonight is Frank Lampard 7/1 (Ladbrokes).
Another win for Manchester United tonight would all but seal the group and CSKA Moscow have shown nothing so far to make us think they can come to Old Trafford and get a win. CSKA are on offer at 10/1 (Coral) to get a win, but we can’t see that happening.
United haven’t exactly been scoring goals for fun in this competition, but they have given little away at the back and we can see them winning to nil 11/10 (Bet365) tonight.
We’re predicting United to win 1/3 (Paddypower) with a 2-0 scoreline 11/2 (Ladbrokes). In the first goalscoring betting we’re going for Dimitar Berbatov 5/1 (Coral).
We’re tipping the Besiktas v Wolfsburg game to finish all square in Istanbul. Besiktas really could do with three points, but we think they will have to settle for a point.

A win for Bordeaux in Germany against Bayern would leave the German side struggling to qualify and having managed a 1-1 draw against Juventus away from home Bordeaux will be difficult to beat tonight. Bayern are unbeaten in 8 games at home in European competition, but 5 of them have been draws and we’re selecting the draw again tonight 13/5 (Skybet). Go for a bet on the under 2.5 goals 9/10 (Bet365).

Arsenal were denied a win in Holland against Alkmaar by a late equaliser. We can see Arsenal winning and scoring a few tonight and so the over 2.5 goals 1/2 (Paddypower) is a bet we will be on. The home win is 1/5 (Coral) and we are tipping a 3-1 scoreline 14/1 (Ladbrokes). Cesc Fabregas 7/1 (Paddypower) is our tip to be first goalscorer.
Unless Liverpool manage to take something from this match they could find themselves all but out of the Champions League. The Reds form of late has been far from convincing and with five away losses in their last five away games in all competitions 21/10 (Coral) against a very good team doesn’t look great odds.
