The big match of the weekend is the Premier League clash between Manchester United and Arsenal. The last six meetings between the teams at Old Trafford have seen United win three, draw two and lose one match. Both teams are on six points at present with Arsenal having played a game less.

There doesn’t look as if as there will be too much between the two teams and the bookmakers seem to agree. Manchester United are 6/5 (Bet365) to take the three points with Arsenal 21/10 (Skybet)

We think Arsenal might keep their unbeaten record and we’re selecting the draw 9/4 (Coral). We’re also going for the under 2.5 goals bet 8/11 (Paddypower).

Chelsea have a 100% record after three games and they are long odds on at 1/7 (Skybet) to beat newly promoted Burnley.

Burnley have already shown they will be no pushovers and it should be remembered on their last visit to Stamford Bridge in the Carling Cup Burnley held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw before winning the tie on penalties. At 22/1 (Skybet) to get a win and at 7/1 (Bet365) to get a draw Burnley look overpriced and we don’t think they are out of it.

We do think that Chelsea will win, but only narrowly. We’re predicting a Chelsea win with a 2-1 scoreline 9/1 (Ladbrokes). In the first goalscorer betting Frank Lampard 11/2 (Skybet) could be worth a bet, while for Burnley Robbie Blake at 6/1 (Ladbrokes) to score anytime looks a decent price.

Championship

Barnsley beat Reading in the Carling Cup in midweek but we’re going to go for a draw 23/10 (Paddypower) here. Neither team have made a good start to the season and a share of the points looks likely.

Blackpool have drawn all four of their league matches so far, but will be buoyed by their 4-1 win over Premier League Wigan in the Carling Cup. Were tipping them to get a win at 7/5 (Bet365).

Swansea haven’t had the best of starts and with Watford showing signs that they will be hard to beat, an away win at 11/4 (Paddypower) could be worth taking. Four of the last six meetings between the two teams has seen three or more goals being scored and so a bet on the over 2.5 goals Evens (Bet365) can be worth a bet.

We’re predicting an away win for Watford with a 2-1 scoreline 9/1 (Paddypower).

Shaun Macdonald 10/1 (Paddypower) is our pick to be first goalscorer.

League One

Charlton have taken full points from their league matches so far this season and they look a decent price at 5/4 (Ladbrokes) to take all three points from their clash away at Tranmere.

League Two

Bradford edged a nine goal thriller at Cheltenham last week and now they have a win under their belt we feel they can kick on. They are attractively priced at 11/10 (Bet365) to get a home win against new boys Torquay and look a really good bet at that price.

We’re predicting a home win for Bradford and we think a bet on a 2-0 result 15/2 (Coral) could prove fruitful.

Port Vale have only lost once in the six matches they have played this season and they can take all three points from their visit to Hereford. The 12/5 (Skybet) for a Vale win is a tempting price and they look a good bet.

We’re predicting a win for Port Vale and think a 2-0 correct score bet 14/1 (Bet365) could be worth a small stake.

Scotland

Dundee United haven’t conceded a goal yet this season and with Falkirk failing to find the net in their last four matches against United betting on United to win to nil 6/4 (Paddypower) can be a winning bet.

We’re selecting a home win for Dundee United at odds of 8/13 (Coral) with a 3-0 scoreline 12/1 (Bet365).
