There’s a whole host of games tonight across the country and we’ve picked out what we believe to be the best bets.

Premier League

Portsmouth had a rare win against Sunderland in the FA Cup on Saturday and they will be hoping they can get another win against fellow strugglers West Ham. The Hammers have shown a bit of improved form of late and the new owners might manage to kick off with a win

Portsmouth are available at 6/4 (Bet365) with West Ham on offer at 15/8 (Bet365). West Ham haven’t won in 10 games on the road, but they did beat Portsmouth pretty comfortably at Upton Park a couple of weeks ago and having only lost once in their last four visits to Portsmouth we’re taking them to get a win.

We’re predicting the away win for West Ham with a 2-1 scoreline 10/1 (Skybet).

Owen Coyle faces his old club when Burnley visit Bolton. With Burnley’s away form dire, this looks a good opportunity for Bolton to get a much needed three points.

Our prediction is a home win for Bolton at 4/5 (Coral). We also fancy them to win to Nil 2/1 (Skybet). Our money is going on a 2-0 correct score 7/1 (Ladbrokes). In the first goalscorer betting Johan Elmander 6/1 (Paddypower) might be worth a little bet.

Tottenham have to be backed to get a home win over Fulham. The Cottagers haven’t managed an away win in their last 10 matches and even at odds of 11/2 (Paddypower) we don’t find them particularly attractive to back.

Take the home win for Spurs 4/7 (Coral) with a 1-0 scoreline 6/1 (Bert365).

Championship

Nottingham Forest are on an unbelievable run of form in the league and have to be a  banker bet against a QPR side who haven’t managed a win in their last five away games.

Forest at 8/11 (Paddypower) look worth a punt and we think a bet on a 2-1 correct score 8/1 (Skybet) might pay off. Chris Cohen is our choice to be first goaslcorer at 16/1 (Ladbrokes).

Derby have been hard to beat away from home recently and we’re predicting they will get a share of the points from their visit to Plymouth. Bet on a draw 23/10 (Coral).

Swansea can keep up their play off push with a win over Coventry City. Away from home Coventry look a bit weak and we’re predicting a home win at odds of  4/6 (Paddypower).

League One

Leeds might be having a good cup run, but it has been at the cost of league form. No wins in their last two league games has seen their lead dwindle and they are no win second place. An away match at Swindon won’t be an easy place to get three points either and we think Swindon look great value at 9/4 (Bet365) and are worth a bet.

We’re predicting a 2-1 win for Swindon 11/1 (Skybet). Simon Ferry 20/1 (Ladbrokes) is our first goalscorer selection.

League Two

Rochdale should extend their unbeaten run to 11 games with a win over Port Vale. At 4/7 (Bet365) Rochdale can be backed with confidence.

Both Barnet and Torquay are so woefully out of form it’s difficult to tip a winner. One bet that does look as if it could bring some winnings is the under 2.5 goals and we think 4/5 (Paddypower) is pretty generous.

We’re predicting a win for Barnet 11/8 (Coral) by 1-0 7/1 (Ladbrokes).
