We have Champions League and Premier League Football matches taking place tonight and we have selected a few bets that hopefully will put some winnings in our pockets.

Champions League

Manchester United look set to give some younger players a bit of European experience tonight at Old Trafford against Besiktas. If United were to have fielded their strongest team, we feel they would have won with a few goals in hand and maybe kept a clean sheet. We do still believe United will win, but it could be a lot closer than expected.

Besiktas haven’t managed an away win in this competition since 2003 and that’s the reason you can get 10/1 (Coral) about them winning tonight. Even at that price we won’t be having a bet on Besiktas and we’re taking the home win 2/5 (Bet365) instead.

Our prediction is a 2-1 United win at odds of 7/1 (Paddypower). Danny Welbeck 6/1 (Ladbrokes) is our first goalscorer pick.

Chelsea are away to Porto tonight and with both teams having already qualified, it is pretty likely both teams could take their foot off the gas a bit. Porto are far better at home than they are on their travels and there won’t be too much between the teams come the end of the 90 minutes. One bet we do think is worthwhile in this match is taking both teams to score 5/6 (Ladbrokes) the over 2.5 goals 11/8 (Bet365) could also bring a profit.

We’re predicting a narrow win for Chelsea 6/4 (Skybet) with a 2-1 scoreline 9/1 (Skybet).

Premier League

Hull haven’t been beaten in their last five home matches and with Everton being inconsistent this season the home win at 5/2 (Skybet) looks pretty generous. Everton have had a long injury list that hasn’t helped their cause in recent weeks and with players missing their task does look severely hampered.

Everton did win away at West Ham a couple of games ago, so we wouldn’t totally write them of tonight although we do think 11/10 (Paddypower)  on them winning is a bit short a price. Hull haven’t beaten Everton in the two Premier League matches they have played so far and we’re inclined to go with a draw tonight 5/2 (Coral). Our prediction is for the game to end  0-0 8/1 (Ladbrokes).

Blackburn will be hoping they can clinch another three points on the road after their weekend win at Bolton. We do feel Fulham at Craven Cottage will be a stiffer test than Bolton managed to give them especially with Fulham having won their last two home games.

Fulham haven’t the best of records against Blackburn and haven’t managed a win in their last six league meetings (3 defeats-3draws) and that could be the reason they are 11/10 (Bet365) tonight. Blackburn don’t look too bad a price at 5/2 (Ladbrokes) and we definitely wouldn’t put anyone off backing them. Our selection is going to be a draw 12/5 (Skybet) however. We’re selecting a 1-1 scoreline 11/2 (Ladbrokes) and think a bet on Jason Roberts 17/2 (Bet365) to be first goalscorer might come up.
