Wednesday’s FA Cup Matches
With only two wins in their last seven Matches Manchester City look plenty short enough at odds of 7/5 (Ladbrokes) to get an away win against Stoke.
The teams have met twice recently (once in the league and once in the cup) with both matches ending in a 1-1 result. Stoke haven’t lost any of their last 10 matches in all competitions and have won three of their last four at home. The teams were pretty well matched in the league game here and it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that another draw 23/10 (Paddypower) could be the outcome once again.
Stoke at 2/1 (Skybet) are going to be our selection as we feel they might just be a little more up for this than City. We’re predicting a home win and think a bet on the over 2.5 goals 11/10 (Coral) could be rewarding. The 2-1 correct score 11/1 (Skybet) is another bet we find attractive and will be having a bet on.
We think Readings great cup run might just come to an end tonight at West Brom. Their cup form has belied their lowly league position but this might just be a step too far. West Brom have a great home record and we have to bet on them getting a win 8/11 (Coral). Our prediction is a home win by 2-0 15/2 (Paddypower). A first goalscorer bet on Graham Dorrans 7/1 (Bet365) is another bet to be considered.
Crystal Palace put in a gritty performance in their home tie against Aston Villa to take this match to a replay and they won’t go down without a fight here. We feel that Villa’s class might just tell and so the home win 2/5 (Bet365) will be where our money is going. We’re going to have a bet on a half/time full time result of Draw/Aston Villa 7/2 (Ladbrokes) with a small bet on a 3-1 result 11/1 (Skybet) also worth a bet.
Bolton’s away form is pretty abysmal and they look about the right price at 8/1 (Coral) to get a win away against Tottenham. The over 2.5 goals 4/5 (Coral) should bring some profits and is a bet to be on, along with the Tottenham Home win 2/5 (Paddypower).
Tottenham haven’t been at their best in the last few matches they have played, but this looks an opportunity to get back on form and we’re picking them to score a few goals and win by 3-1 12/1 (Skybet). A first goalscorer bet on Peter Crouch 9/2 (Paddypower) along with Jermain Jenas 13/2 (Coral) to score anytime are another two bets that are worth thinking about.
