Tuesday Night Football
Our footballs selections today are from The Champions League and Football League matches being played tonight.
Champions League
It has to be three points for Liverpool tonight or they will be out of the tournament and we believe they will get the win they need. Hungarians Debrecen have conceded 15 goals in their four games so far and we can’t se then keeping a clean sheet tonight. Both teams to score 10/11 (Skybet) might be worth a bet, while a half time/fulltime bet on Draw/Liverpool 7/2 (Ladbrokes) could also prove to be a winning bet.
If Liverpool don’t beat Debrecen they don’t deserve to go through, but we think an away win 1/3 (Coral) is likely. We’re predicting a 3-1 win 10/1 (Bet365).
Arsenal are at home to Standard Liege and after getting a narrow away win in Belgium the Gunners look worth a bet to get a win 3/10 (Skybet). We’re tipping a 4-1 correct score 18/1 (Bet365) and think Eduardo 7/2 (Paddypower) could be first goalscorer.
Rangers Champions League hopes remain intact, but only just. They need to get a win at Ibrox against Stuttgart to avoid going out the competition. Neither team has managed a win so far in the group, but Rangers do appear to be in a bit better form than Stuttgart (who dropped into the relegation zone in the Bundesliga at the weekend) and we’re tipping a home win 13/8 (Paddypower). In what should be a close match-if Rangers defence doesn’t cave in again!-we’re taking Rangers to win 2-1 10/1 (Ladbrokes).
Football league
League One leaders Leeds are at home to Leyton Orient and it would be a major shock if they were to lose to a team who have only managed one away win so far this season. Leeds are 1/3 (Bet365) to win and have to be included in any multiple bets. We’re predicting the 2-0 scoreline 5/1 (Paddypower) and we’re having a bet on Bradley Johnson 15/2 (Skybet) to be first goalscorer.
MK Dons have a good home record and with opponents Carlisle without a win in 6 on their travels the home win 8/13 (Ladbrokes) looks the bet to be on here.
Bottom of League One Tranmere still continue to struggle and have lost their last four league games. Visitors Southend sit in mid table and although they don’t have a tremendous away record we think they will win this with a bit to spare. We’re tipping an away win for Southend 13/8 (Coral) and think a small stake on a 3-0 correct score 28/1 (Bet365) could be worthwhile. Lee Barnard 5/1 (Ladbrokes) is our selected player to score the first goal.
League Two leaders Bournemouth play hosts to third placed Dagenham tonight and a win for the home side would see them open up a little gap at the top of the table. This won’t be an easy match for Bournemouth against a side who are unbeaten in their last three away games, but we think the home side will just edge a tight match. Our prediction is a home win 21/20 (Paddypower) with a 1-0 scoreline 6/1 (Skybet).
