English Premier League Best Bets – Burnley to win Lancashire Derby
This weekend we’re concentrating on the best bets from the English Premier League for our selections.
Another defeat for Liverpool could make life rather uncomfortable for manager Rafa Benitez. It’s rather unfortunate then that they face league leaders Manchester United at Anfield. Liverpool have only won one of their last five league meetings against United and the 2/1 (Bet365) on them winning at home shows just how lacking in confidence bookmakers and others are on them turning their form around and winning against United.
Manchester United are 6/4 (Ladbrokes) to win and having won their last three away games we have to side with United to win.
We’re predicting a 1-0 scoreline 7/1 (Skybet).
There’s a local derby when Wolves meet Aston Villa this weekend and having won the last 7 meetings Villa look the side to be on here. Villa also look as if they could be one of the teams challenging for a top four finish and we would be surprised of they didn’t win this match.
We’re predicting a win for Aston Villa 6/5 (Bet365) and think the 3-1 scoreline 16/1 (Coral) could pay a return on your stake. Our pick to be first goalscorer is Ashley Young 10/1 (Ladbrokes).
So far Burnley’s home form has been excellent and they look a big price at 6/4 (Skybet) to beat a Wigan team who haven’t won away since the opening day. The under 2.5 goals at 5/6 (Paddypower) can be a winning bet and taking Burnley to win to nil 10/3 (Paddypower) is another bet available at a good price.
We’re predicting Burnley to win 1-0 7/1 (Ladbrokes) and think Chris Eagles 16/1 (Skybet) could be first goalscorer at a nice price.
There’s a bottom of the table clash when Hull play hosts to Portsmouth and with both games last season ending in draws, we wouldn’t be too surprised to see this match end up all square either.
Our prediction is a draw 12/5 (Skybet) and we think the 1-1 result 13/2 (Skybet) is a bet worth considering. Robbie Keane 9/2 (Coral) is our pick to be first goalscorer.
It’s possible that Tottenham could go top of the table this weekend if other results went their way and they were to beat Stoke. There’s every chance they will take all three points as Stoke haven’t managed an away win in the league yet.
Tottenham have had a good start to the season and they are showing enough form to make people believe they could sustain a challenge near the top of the Premier League for the whole season. This is a match where goals could be plentiful and so we’re having a bet on the over 2.5 goals 4/6 (Paddypower).
Our tip for this match is a Tottenham win 4/9 (Paddypower) and we think the score might be 3-1 10/1 (Bet365)
