Premier League

Sunderland look capable of taking all three points from their home match against Blackburn. Sunderland will find Blackburn easier opposition than Chelsea and at 11/10 (Coral) they look value to win.

Our prediction is a 2-0 win 17/2 (Paddypower) and our pick to be first goalscorer is Kenwyne Jones 6/1 (Skybet).

Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from their shock defeat at Burnley and at 8/15 (Coral) look worth backing to get a win at Wigan. United have won on their last four visits here and three of these games have yielded 2.5 goals or more and at Evens (Bet365) the over 2.5 goals looks a great bet.

We’re taking Manchester United to win by 3-1 10/1 (Skybet) and are also selecting Ryan Giggs 12/1 (Ladbrokes) to be first goalscorer.

Draws have been thin on the ground in the Premier League so far this season, but we’re predicting a draw to be the outcome of the West Ham v Tottenham match.

The draw is 9/4 (Coral) and looks worth a bet. We’re going for a 1-1 correct score 11/2 (Ladbrokes)

Championship

Blackpool have started the season with three draws and they could be worth taking to get another point from their away match against Watford. Two of the last four meetings between the teams have been draws and at 23/10 (Bet365) the draw looks worth a bet again.

Newcastle have started life in the Championship pretty well and we’re tipping them to get an away win at Crystal Palace to keep their unbeaten record intact.

Our prediction is a win for Newcastle 13/10 (Paddypower) and we think a bet on a 2-1 correct score 8/1 (Coral) can be a winning bet.

League One

We think Huddersfield could be a value bet at 13/8 (Skybet) to get a win away at Bristol Rovers. They have won on their last two visits and are unbeaten in the last four against Rovers and having made such a good start to the season look a great bet.

We’re predicting a 2-1 correct score 9/1 (Coral). A first goalscorer bet on Michael Collins 14/1 (Bet365) is worth a small stake.

Leeds have a 100% record so far and at 1/2 (Paddypower) look a banker bet to get a home win against Tranmere. We don’t expect them to overrun Tranmere and we’re having a bet on the under 2.5 goals at 5/6 (Skybet).

Our prediction is a 2-0 win for Leeds 6/1 (Ladbrokes). Our first goalscorer selection is Robert Snodgrass 15/2 (Skybet).

Oldham have drawn three of their last four home matches against Swindon and it’s worth backing a draw at 12/5 (Coral) again. We’re tipping a 2-2 correct score 16/1 (Skybet).

League Two

Cheltenham have made a great start to the season and currently lie in third place. Bradford were fancied to do well this season, but have shown little sign of that happening and haven’t even managed to score a goal yet.

Cheltenham are on offer at 11/10 (Paddypower) and have to be backed at that price.

We’re predicting a 2-0 win 8/1 (Ladbrokes).

Scotland

You have to go back to 2006 for Falkirk’s last home win over Hibernian so we’re surprised that Hibs are on offer at 13/8 (Bet365) to get an away win, as that seems a very big price.

We’re going for a Hibs win and a correct score bet of 2-0 12/1 (Paddypower).
