FA Cup 4th Round Best Bets
We’re concentrating our selections on the FA Cup matches that are taking place this weekend, where we are optimistic we can find some winners.
After their win against Manchester United in the last round Leeds haven’t managed to win a single game, but maybe they have had one eye on this match. You can get 10/1 (Skybet) on Leeds causing another upset although we feel the chances on that are not great. Tottenham have lost a couple of league games at home, to sides they would expect to beat, so maybe they take their eye off the ball against so called lesser opposition. If that’s the case then the 1/4 (Skybet) on Spurs winning is quite short.
Our prediction is a narrow Tottenham win by 2-1 7/1 (Ladbrokes).
Reading’s home form is dire and Burnley’s away form is worse, so it might pay to sit on the fence here and go for a draw 9/4 (Bet365). We’d be surprised if the under 2.5 goals bet at 4/5 (Coral) didn’t bring a return.
We’re predicting a 1-1 scoreline 11/2 (Ladbrokes). Graham Alexander 14/1 (Skybet) is our choice to be first goaslcorer.
Chelsea area away to Preston and should be a banker bet at 1/4 (Paddypower) to get through h to the next round. We’re tipping Chelsea to win by a 3-1 scoreline 12/1 (Skybet). Our first goalscorer bet is Michael Ballack 11/1 (Coral).
Everton are unbeaten in seven at home and Birmingham are on a great run of 12 league matches unbeaten , so picking a winner here isn’t going to be easy. With four of the last six league meetings between the teams ending all square we’re inclined to go for this match to end in a draw too. The draw is on offer at 5/2 (Coral) and the 1-1 correct score bet at 7/1 (Paddypower) could be worth a bet.
Wigan haven’t exactly been playing out their skins away from home recently and we think they could be on the wrong end of a cup shock against Notts County. One bet we will definitely be having is the over 2.5 goals 9/10 (Bet365) as both teams score and concede goals regularly.
We’re forecasting a home win for Notts County at 5/1 (Skybet). A small bet on a 3-2 result at 50/1 (Paddypower) could bring a nice profit.
Derby have been quite poor at home recently and with Doncaster on a decent run of form, the away win looks worth backing. Doncaster have won on their last two visits to Derby and at 21/10 (Coral) are a tempting price. We’re forecasting a Doncaster win and we are also going for them to win to Nil at 9/2 (Paddypower).
Portsmouth needed two games to get past Coventry in the last round and we think they might have to go to another match against Sunderland too. Sunderland are on a long losing away run of 10 games, but we feel they can force a replay here.
Our prediction is a draw 11/5 (Bet365). We’re selecting a 1-1 scoreline 11/2 (Ladbrokes). Andy Reid 14/1 (Ladbrokes) is our selection to be first goalscorer.
