Blue will definitely be the colour at Wembley for the FA Cup final, but we don’t think it will be the Chelsea fans who will be singing at the end of the match.

David Moyes has once again led Everton close to a top four finish and we’re sure many football fans (apart from Chelsea and maybe some Liverpool ones) would love to see him lead his team to victory at Wembley and win a trophy his excellent managerial skills deserve.

It won’t be an easy task to beat Chelsea who have a great record against Everton, but with four of the last five league meetings ending in draws between the two teams we believe a really close match is in prospect.

Chelsea are the favourites to lift the trophy at 8/11 (Coral) with Everton priced at 4/1 (Bet365). Everton will be hard to break down (as usual) and there is every possibility that chances will be limited. Only twice in the last 10 meetings has there been more than two goals in a match between the teams and the under 2.5 goals at 3/5 (Bet365) is a bet we strongly recommend.

With the last two F A Cup Finals finishing in a 1-0 scoreline taking the under 1.5 goals at 7/4 (Paddypower) is also worth a punt. Taking Everton to keep a clean sheet at 10/3 (Paddypower) looks to have realistic chance of being a winning bet as does the Everton t win by one goal bet at 7/1 (Bet365).

In the last couple of finals teams have complained about the pitch and how the ball doesn’t move freely across it and how dead it is. That will probably affect Chelsea’s normal style of play a bit more than Everton’s and we can see a bit of a long ball game developing during the match.

With the stats showing that many of the games between these two teams end in draws that’s the result we’re going to go for in 90 minutes of play. We think the half time full time result of Draw/Draw at 4/1 (Coral) is also worthy a bet.

Extra time can always be a bit of a lottery but we’re going to have a small bet on Everton winning the match in extra time at 20/1(Bet365).

Penalties is also a possibility and Chelsea are 17/2 with Everton quoted at  9/1 (Both Paddypower) to end up winning the match this way.

We’re predicting the match to end in a draw 13/5 (Bet365) and we can see it ending up 0-0 after 90 minutes 7/1 (Bet365).  As we have already mentioned we’re taking Everton to win in extra time and taking Steven Pienaar to be the man to get the vital goal.
