Premier League

The Hull Chelsea clash looks a bit of a foregone conclusion even if Chelsea huffed and puffed a bit before getting a result at Burnley at the weekend. Hull haven’t won any of their last nine league games and although 12/1 (Bet365) does look a big price we can’t envisage an upset.

We’re predicting an away win for Chelsea 2/7 (Coral) and we are going to take them to win to nil too at 5/6 (Paddypower). The 2-0 correct score 5/1 (Ladbrokes) and Frank Lampard to get the first goalscorer at 5/1 (Skybet) are another two bets to consider.

Championship

Barnsley have lost three of their last four league matches and with Preston  showing decent form at home it could pay to bet on a home win here. We’ are selecting a win for Preston 10/11 (Coral) and think the 3-0 scoreline 16/1 (Bet365) is worth a smallish stake.

The last time Watford won a league match was in the first week of December, so we think Sheffield United must have a decent chance of picking up three points here. United’s away form isn’t brilliant at the moment, but they haven’t lost to Watford in their last four meetings and we’re predicting an away win at a decent price of 6/4 (Ladbrokes). We’re forecasting the 2-1 result 9/1 (Skybet).

League One

Colchester have one of the best home records in League One and look a banker home win bet tonight at 4/7 (Ladbrokes). Opponents Carlisle come in good heart after a couple of decent results, but we have to side with the home team. Our prediction is a 2-0 win for Colchester 13/2 (Skybet).

Charlton have only won two of their last seven games, but they remain unbeaten in five away from home. Opponents Walsall are in a slump at the moment and a draw 23/10 (Paddypower) probably wouldn’t be too bad a result for them. We think they might struggle though and we are predicting an away win for Charlton at odds of 6/5 (bet365). The over 2.5 goals looks a decent enough price at 5/6 (Coral) and we are having a bet on that outcome as well as on a 4-2 win for Charlton 100/1 (Paddypower). Lloyd Sam 12/1 (Ladbrokes)) is our first goalscorer selection.

League Two

Despite their lowly league position, Hereford’s home form is actually pretty good and belies their place in the bottom four. With opponents Lincoln no great shakes away from home this looks a good opportunity for Hereford to get another three points.

We predict a home win 13/10 (Coral). Both teams to score 8/11(Bet365) and a correct score bet of 3-1 20/1 (Skybet) could also bring some winnings.

Scotland

Celtic need to take three points from this match against Kilmarnock to close the gap on rivals Rangers. Opponents Kilmarnock have only managed one goal in their last seven visits to Celtic Park in the SPL so taking Celtic to win to Nil at 11/10 (Paddypower) might be worth a bet rather than the straight win at 1/3 (Paddypower).

We are predicting a 3-0 win for Celtic 8/1 (Bet365) with Rasmussen 4/1 (Coral) our first goalscorer selection.

In division One we are going for a draw in the match between Dunfermline and Queen of the South. A draw is available at 5/2 (Ladbrokes) and we will be taking that along with a 1-1 scoreline 11/2 (Paddypower).
