Wednesday Football Best Bets
Premier League
Manchester United looked a little bit ring rusty against Birmingham and had to work pretty hard to take the three points. They should be tuned up better for their trip to Burnley and they should take all three points.
Burnley didn’t do too badly against Stoke in their first ever Premier League match, but they were caught out a couple of times defensively and United will exploit any mistakes they make in this game.
We can’t see any other outcome but a win for Manchester United 1/3 (Paddypower). We’re also going to take United to win to Nil Evens (Paddypower). A bet on a 2-0 correct score 5/1 (Ladbrokes) could be worth a bet. We’re tipping Dimitar Berbatov to get the first goal at odds of 5/1 (Skybet).
Birmingham look a good price at 11/10 (Coral) to get a home win against Portsmouth. Pompey look like team who are going to struggle this season and even up against the League’s new boy’s the don’t look great value at 11/5 (Ladbrokes). The under 2.5 goals could be a winner and at 8/13 (Bet365) has to be worth considering.
We’re predicting a 1-0 win for Birmingham 7/1 (Ladbrokes) and think James McFadden 15/2 (Skybet) could be a decent bet to be first goalscorer.
Tottenham weren’t the best performers on the road last season, but we think that might improve this term and Evens (Coral) for them to win at Hull looks a decent bet. Spurs won 2-1 in the same fixture last season and we’re going for the same 2-1 result at 8/1 (Skybet) this time round.

Newcastle were well worth their 3-0 home win against Reading and they can get another home win against Sheffield Wednesday tonight. Newcastle are 4/5 (Bet365) to take all three points and that looks a really good price to us.
The 3-0 correct score is priced at 14/1 (Paddypower) and that bet looks worth a small stake. We’re going for Kevin Nolan 9/1 (Skybet) to be first goalscorer.
League Two
Notts County have won their two league matches without conceding a goal so far and another win at Chesterfield looks more than likely. Having won their two prior matches convincingly the 11/8 (Bet365) on offer has to be worth taking and we’re also suggesting a small bet on a 2-0 correct score at odds of 10/1 (Paddypower).
