This week we have split our selection of best bets into homes, aways and draws

Homes

You have to think that Sunderland will eventually come out of their slump in form, but will it be at Arsenal this weekend? Probably not! One win in their last 10 games in all competition (and that was against Barrow), can’t exactly fill Sunderland fans with optimism for their trip to the Emirates and backing a home win 2/9 (Bet365) is the only option. We’re predicting a 3-1 win for Arsenal 10/1 (Ladbrokes).

West Ham are now unbeaten in four at home and they could grab a vital three points against Hull this weekend. Hull are 13 games without a win away from home and might find West Ham too good in front of their own supporters. Our prediction is a home win for the Hammers 4/5 (Paddypower). A correct score bet on the 2-0 result 7/1 (Skybet) and on Carlton Cole being first goalscorer 5/1 (Coral) are two bets we think should be considered.

Scunthorpe could prove to be a bit of value at 7/5 (Paddypower). Opponents Watford haven’t won away for a long time and the home win could be a good bet along with the 1-0 scoreline 7/1 (Coral).

They might not have won at home for three games, but Accrington have to be fancied to beat Bradford who have only one win from their last eight league matches. We’re tipping a home win 11/10 (Skybet) but only narrowly. A 1-0 result 6/1 (Coral) will be carrying some of our money.

Motherwell are in decent form and Hibernian could be vulnerable after a 5-1 thrashing by St Johnstone in midweek. The home win has to be worth a bet at 13/8 (Bet365)

Aways

Despite their poor away form we are tipping Stoke to take advantage of the turmoil at Fratton Park and get a win at Portsmouth. Our prediction is an away win 12/5 (Skybet).

Huddersfield haven’t lost away to a team in the bottom half of the table this season and despite losing on their last three visits to Hartlepool we believe they can win this. The 7/5 (Bet365) looks appealing enough to justify our selection. The over 2.5 goals 5/6 (Skybet) merits consideration. We’re predicting 2-1 win 15/2 (Paddypower) and also suggest a bet on Anthony Pilkington 10/1 (Ladbrokes) to be first goalscorer.

Given Grimsby’s appalling form you have to think Lincoln could sneak a win in this match. The away win is on offer at 21/10 (Coral) and makes some appeal.

Draws

The last six meetings between Manchester City and Liverpool have finished as draws and we feel that could be the outcome once again. City do have excellent home form and so laying Liverpool on the exchanges could be a shrewd move. We are predicting a draw 23/10 (Coral) with a 1-1- result 11/2 (Ladbrokes).

The way Leeds are playing at the moment it’s hard to back them to win and at 2/5 (Bet365) we’re ignoring the home win and instead are predicting a draw 7/2 (Skybet).
Arbroath have taken a point from their last two away matches against East Fife.

Neither team is in anything like decent form, so a draw 13/5 (Skybet) is our pick. The 0-0 correct score at 10/1 (Ladbrokes) looks as if it could be worth a little flutter.
