Carling Cup Semi Final

The Manchester derby is never an easy match to predict the outcome of and a Carling Cup semi-final first leg will probably be even harder to predict. United normally do okay away against City and so a win at 7/4 (Coral) isn’t too bad a price. The under 2.5 goals 5/6 (Skybet) appears to be a bet worth considering in what could be a tight match.

Our prediction is a win for United by 1-0 15/2 (Paddypower) and we think Wayne Rooney might grab the all important goals at odds of 6/1 (Coral).

Premier League

Arsenal were relatively comfortable winners against Bolton at the weekend and we’re taking them to get another victory in this rearranged league game tonight.

Bolton have never beaten Arsenal away from home in the Premier league and it would need a dramatic change in away form for Bolton to get anything from this match. An Arsenal win 2/9 (Skybet) is our selection and we’re going to go with a correct score bet on a 3-0 scoreline 7/1 (Coral). Andrey Arshavin 5/1 (Bet365) is our choice to be first goalscorer.

Given Liverpool’s rather unpredictable form and coupled with the fact Spurs are unbeaten in their last four away games, we’re not too sure Liverpool are worth a bet at 11/10 (Ladbrokes) to get a win.

Spurs have managed draws in three of their last six visits to Anfield and a draw 9/4 (Paddypower) is our selection tonight. A 1-1 scoreline could be the bet to get on in the correct score betting and is available at 11/2 (Ladbrokes).

Championship

Blackpool are 10/11 (Coral) to get a home win against Sheffield Wednesday and although they haven’t been as convincing in their last couple of performances, they should win this. We’re predicting a 2-1 scoreline 8/1 (Skybet).

League One

Huddersfield have the best home record in League One and with opponents Bristol Rovers without an away win in seven a home win for Huddersfield 4/6 (Paddypower) looks a banker bet. Over 2.5 goals 7/10 (Bet365) is another bet to consider.

Our prediction for this match is a 3-1 win for Huddersfield 12/1 (Skybet). Jordan Rhodes 4/1 (Skybet) is our first goalscorer bet selection.

Charlton should beat Hartlepool to join Norwich on 54 points to move three points behind leaders Leeds. At 1/2 (Bet365) Charlton look a banker home bet.

League Two

Rochdale have beaten Aldershot the only three times they have met in the league and as they are unbeaten in eight we think it will pay to go for the away win at odds of  7/5 (Bet365). We’re going for a 1-0 result 15/2 (Paddypower).

Unbeaten in six at home, Bury should get the better of out of form Bradford. The 19/20 (Bet365) about the home win for Bury is a good price and is our selection.

We’re predicting a 2-0 win 17/2 (Skybet).

FA Cup

Accrington have been in pretty good form of late and they could be worth backing to beat Gillingham. The 6/4 (Ladbrokes) for a home win is worth a bet, as is the under 2.5 goals 8/11 (Paddypower).
