Champions League

Porto at 17/10 (Paddypower) can be a winning bet against Arsenal in the Champions league knockout stage tonight. At home Porto can be a match for anyone and with Arsenal going into this match a little light upfront-with Arshavin missing the match-this could be a good opportunity for Porto to get their heads in front in this tie.

We do think this will still be a close run thing and the under 2.5 goals 8/13 (Coral) is a bet that has to be considered. We’re predicting a Porto win by 1-0 13/2 (Skybet). Our first goalscorer pick is Silvestre Varela 8/1 (Ladbrokes).

Bayern Munich are much improved from last season and they look a banker bet at 8/15 (Skybet) to get a home win against a Fiorentina team who are not at their best. We can’t see any other outcome other than the home win and we feel Bayern could win by a few goals, so we are tipping the over 2.5 goals in this game at odds of 4/5 (Coral).

Our prediction is a 3-0 win for Bayern 12/1 (Skybet) with Miroslav Klose 6/1 (Ladbrokes) our first goalscorer selection.

Premier League

A win for Bolton at Wigan could see them move out of the bottom three and with Wigan without a win in four Owen Coyle will fancy his team to take something from the game.

Currently Wigan have the worst form of any Premier League team over the last six games, so 5/4 (Paddypower) for a win might not be as good a price as it first seems.

Bolton don’t have inspiring form away from home either with three losses in a row and a run of eight matches without a win. This game is a real six pointer and extremely hard to call. We could sit on the fence and go for a draw 9/4 (Bet365), but we’re going to stick our neck out and take Bolton to get the vital away win 23/10 (Ladbrokes). We won’t be putting our life saving s on the outcome, but a small bet could prove fruitful.

We’re predicting 1-0 win 8/1 (Coral).

Championship

At home Newcastle are pretty much unbeatable and although their recent form hasn’t been impressive we feel the home win 8/15 (Coral) is the only betting option to take. Opponents Coventry are in a decent run of form at the moment. But their away form overall isn’t great and we’d be surprised if they took anything from the match.

We‘re predicting a 3-1 win for Newcastle 12/1 (Skybet).

Crystal Palace and Reading meet in a foot of the table clash with a win vital to both sides. We can’t see either team notching up a win though and were forecasting a draw 9/4 (Coral).

League Two

If you are placing multiple bets then Notts County must be included at 4/9 (Ladbrokes). Opponents Grimsby haven’t won away in 11 and haven’t won at all in 21 games. A home win has to be the outcome here.

SPL

Wins have been pretty scarce for St Johnstone recently and we’re siding with in form Hibernian to take the three points at Perth tonight. Hibernian are a good price at 13/10 (Ladbrokes) and we’re going for them to win by 3-1 20/1 (Coral). A bet on Derek Riordan to be first goalscorer 6/1 (Bet365) could show a profit.
