Champions League

Chelsea trail Inter Milan by 2-1 from the first leg and they will be hoping their old manager Jose Mourinho doesn’t come back to haunt them. We don’t feel that is likely as Chelsea have an exceptionally good home record and we are tipping them to get a win 8/13 (Skybet) and by a wide enough margin to see them go through. We are predicting a 3-1 win for Chelsea 14/1 (Skybet) with Didier Drogba 4/1 (Coral) our choice to be first goalscorer.

Premier League

Wigan have only won one of their last nine league games and with Villa only losing two league games away from home this season in the league we have to go with form and take Villa 6/5 (Paddypower) to get an away win. Our prediction is a 2-0 win for Villa 8/1 (Ladbrokes).

Championship

Reading’s home form is good as they have won their last five and with QPR without a win away from home in 10 league games this seems to point to a home win 10/11 (bet365) being the outcome.

It might have seemed unlikely a few months ago, but if Coventry beat Cardiff tonight they could move into a play-off spot. One defeat in 10 league games has seen Coventry steadily climb the table and with good home form and Cardiff’s inability to win away recently (they have lost the last 4) the home win 6/4 (bet365) looks a great price. We’re predicting a 3-1 scoreline 22/1 (Skybet) and think Clinton Morrison 6/1 (Paddypower) might be worth a small bet to grab the first goal.

We’re tipping Plymouth and Bristol City to share the points in their match. The draw is on offer at 9/4 (Ladbrokes) and that will be our selection along with a 0-0 correct score bet at 8/1 (Coral).

League One

We feel Brighton might just manage a draw 12/5 (Skybet) against Brentford. Recent games between the two teams haven’t seen many goals so we will also be taking the under 2.5 goals at 6/5 (Coral).

Southampton have won their last seven home games, but will still need to be at the top of their form to beat Swindon.  This looks as if it will be a very close game and we’re predicting Southampton to just sneak the win at odds of 4/5 (Coral). We’re having a bet on Southampton to win by a 1 goal margin at 5/2 (Paddypower) and by a 2-1 scoreline 7/1 (Bet365).

League Two

Hereford can get a much needed win against Morecambe who haven’t been great on their travels recently. The home win for Hereford is available at 6/4 (Coral) and looks a good enough price to be backing.

SPL

Aberdeen are on a shocking run at the moment and we can’t see them taking anything from their visit to Perth against St Johnstone. We’re predicting a home win at what looks to be a very good price of 11/8 (Coral). Try the 2-1 correct score bet 10/1 (Skybet).
