Champions League

Manchester United will run up against old Boy David Beckham when they visit AC Milan in the knockout stages of the Champions League. It could well be that he finishes up on the losing side tonight. Even with home advantage. AC Milan’s form hasn’t been impressed us of late and while they may look a tempting price at 15/8 (Bet365) we’re not convinced they will win.

United are unbeaten in 15 away European ties and we’re predicting another win for them tonight 17/10 (Paddypower). The over 2.5 goals looks to have every chance at 11/8 (Paddypower) and we are selecting the 2-1 correct score bet 9/1 (Ladbrokes) in United’s favour.

The other match tonight is between Lyon and Real Madrid. Home advantage is Lyon’s trump card here as Real Madrid, when they do slip up tend to do so away from home. Madrid to qualify looks a safe bet at 1/4 (Coral) but we’re not too sure an away win tonight 11/10 (Paddypower) will bring a return. Our prediction in this match is a draw 9/4 (Coral) with a 0-0 scoreline 9/1 (Skybet).

Premier League

Manchester City managed to draw with Stoke in the cup at the weekend, but they were uncomfortable against Stoke’s aerial threat from set plays and we don’t think they will relish this contest much.

Having lost their last two away league games City look a very short price at 11/10 (Ladbrokes) to win and we think they are worth opposing. Stoke are unbeaten in their last five league games and look worth a bet to take all three points 12/5 (Skybet).

Stoke won their last home encounter against City by 1-0 and we are having a bet on that scoreline being repeated at odds of 8/1 (Coral). The under 2.5 goals is another bet we recommend at 4/6 (Paddypower).

Championship

We’re tipping Swansea to get a win at Plymouth. They are available at 6/5 (Paddypower) to win and we are taking that along with a 1-0 correct score bet 7/1 (Ladbrokes). Our first goalscorer pick is Lee Trundle 7/1 (Skybet).

The last three times Sheffield Wednesday and Doncaster have met the home side have come out winning by 1-0. We think there’s a good chance of that happening again and so we’re predicting a home win for Wednesday 11/10 (Paddypower) by a 1-0 scoreline 6/1 (Skybet).

QPR are on a dreadful run of form and while opponents Watford haven’t had an away win for nine matches, they have at least won a couple of games recently and so we’re tipping them to get a rare away win 9/4 (Skybet). We’re having a small bet on a 2-1 result 10/1 (Ladbrokes).

League One

Leeds look as if they can get back to winning ways at home to Walsall and they should be backed at 1/2 (Ladbrokes) to get a home win. Leeds United to win to Nil 11/10 (Paddypower) is also a bet we fancy. We’re predicting a 2-0 scoreline 6/1 (Ladbrokes).

Carlisle are unbeaten in five at home and with away wins for Huddersfield pretty rare a home win is pretty attractively priced at 6/4 (Paddypower) and should be backed. Ian Harte 11/1 (Bet365) looks to be worth a little flutter.
