Liverpool are going through one of their worst spells in years and at  the moment teams like Tottenham, Aston Villa and Manchester City look as well equipped as them to reach a top four finish.A win from tonight’s game against Wigan is vital, but we’re not too convinced they will get one and the odds of 1/3 (Ladbrokes) about a home win won’t be enough to get us to dig deep into our pockets to place a bet.

Liverpool haven’t won in three at home in the league and the pressure of needing results seems to be getting to the players at home and mistakes are creping in. Opponents Wigan are bit of an enigma, great one week and awful the next. They have managed two draws against Liverpool from their last three meetings and although a win 10/1 (Paddypower) would be a big shock, a point does look a possibility.

The bets we like in this game tonight are the under 2.5 goals at 11/10 (Paddypower) and the draw 17/4 (Bet365).

We’re predicting a 1-1 result 9/1 (Coral).

Manchester City visit Tottenham tonight and would climb above them with a win. Spurs are without a win in their last three league games and have only managed two wins in their last seven games in all competition. City have drawn their last five away games and have only lost once in the league all season so it won’t be easy for Spurs tonight.

We think City might just have the edge on current form and if they can take a lead the crowd might start to make the home team a bit nervy and City could go on to win the match.

Spurs are 13/10 (Bet365) to get a win with the draw on offer at 12/5 (Skybet). We like the half time/ full time bet of Draw/ Manchester City 13/2 (Skybet) and will be having a little bet on that outcome.

We’re predicting a win for Manchester City  21/10 (Paddypower) and with the last 7 meetings between the teams ending in a 2-1 scoreline taking City to win by that score at  12/1 (Skybet) could pay dividends.

Arsenal travel to Burnley and while the home team have good record at Turf Moor  they might do well to keep the score respectable here. Arsenal will get plenty of room to play tonight and they can take full advantage. At odds of 1/2 (Ladbrokes) Arsenal are still worth a bet to win as we believe they should be a bit shorter.

In this match we are taking Arsenal to win and think they will keep a clean sheet 11/10 (Paddypower) and win to nil 6/4 (Paddypower). Our prediction is a 4-0 win for Arsenal 22/1 (Ladbrokes) with Cesc Fabregas being first goalscorer at 13/2 (Skybet).

Chelsea are at home to Portsmouth and we expect them to win this comfortably. Chelsea are available at 1/6 (Ladbrokes) to win against the league’s bottom side and we thin that price is affair reflection on their chance.

We have to pick Chelsea to win and think the result will be 3-0 13/2 (Coral) in their favour. A bet on Nicolas Anelka 7/2 (Ladbrokes) to be first goalscorer could bring some winnings.
