After their shock exit to Reading in the FA Cup Liverpool have to travel to Stoke in the league and that’s no easy place to get a result at the best of times. No Torres and no Gerrard usually means no win for Liverpool, so the 11/10 (Ladbrokes) on offer on a Reds win doesn’t appear to be a fantastic price. Stoke have only lost one of their last six home matches and with Liverpool’s form suspect (having lost half their away league games this season) Stoke could take advantage. Laying Liverpool on the exchanges is definitely an option to consider in this match.

Stoke are 3/1 (Paddypower) to get a home win and if that’s your selection we wouldn’t try and put you off. With two of the last three meetings between the two teams finishing all square, we’re going for the draw 11/5 (Coral). We’re predicting a 0-0 result 9/1 (Skybet).

Wolves and Wigan are tied on 19 points near the foot of the table and a win would be a great result for either side. Wolves haven’t done too badly at home and with Wigan without a win in 5 games we’re selecting a home win.

Our prediction is a win for Wolves 13/10 (Ladbrokes) with a 2-0 scoreline 10/1 (Skybet).

Blackburn are finding it difficult to score goals at the moment and with Fulham not giving too much away defensively the under 2.5 goals 8/11 (Coral) looks worth a bet. Fulham have gone 9 games without a win away from home and we’re going for that run to continue as we’re selecting a draw 9/4 (Bet365) in this game. A bet on a 1-1 result 11/2 (Skybet) could pay off.

Championship

Blackpool look a good price at 5/4 (Skybet) to get a home win against QPR considering they have only lost once at home all season. We would have expected them to be odds on here, so a decent bet is advised if you can get odds against.

We’re predicting Blackpool to win to nil 11/4 (Paddypower) with a 2-0 scoreline 10/1 (Skybet).

Scunthorpe have been playing better than their lowly  league position would imply and after a couple of fine wins we think they might have turned the corner and we’re taking them at 9/4 (Skybet) to get a home win against high flying Cardiff.

We’re going to go with Newcastle to win their top of the table clash with West Brom. The Magpies are 11/10 (Bet365) to get a win and although West Brom are unbeaten in 6 matches away from home, we believe Newcastle will have the firepower to nick this. The over 2.5 goals 11/10 (Coral) and both teams to score 4/5 (Paddypower) both look worth a punt in this match. Our prediction is a home win with a 2-1 scoreline 8/1 (Skybet). Shola Ameobi 11/2 (Coral) is our selection to be first goaslcorer.

League One

League leaders Leeds should take all three points against an Exeter team who haven’t won in their last three outings. Leeds are 4/7 (Ladbrokes) to get a win and we’re tipping a 2-0 result 13/2 (Paddypower).

SPL

Celtic 1/5 (Coral) look banker bets to win at home against bottom club Falkirk. The 2-0 correct score 11/2 (Coral) will be where our hard earned cash will be going. A first goalscorer bet on Aiden McGeady 13/2 (Coral) could also bring some winnings.
