MONDAY

The Championship game between West Brom and QPR is live on Sky Sports1 tonight and offers a couple of decent betting opportunities. West Brom need three points to stay on the coat tails of leaders Newcastle, while QPR are looking to end a four match losing streak that has seen them tumble to 14th in the table.

West Brom are unbeaten in their last four matches against QPR and have scored 12 goals in those four matches. Taking over 2.5 goals tonight appears to be a pretty safe option and at 4/6 (Ladbrokes) could be worth taking as a banker bet.

We’re predicting a home win and think a correct score bet of 3-1 11/1 (Bet365) has a chance. Graham Dorrans 10/1 (Paddypower) is our pick to be first goalscorer.

TUESDAY

Premier League

Birmingham have picked up four wins on the bounce and they should be able to make that five at St Andrews against Blackburn. We’re tipping a win for Birmingham at great odds of 6/5 (Paddypower). Try a bet on a 2-1 result 7/1 (Coral).

Both Bolton and West Ham could do with the three points from their clash at the Reebok. A win for either side would see them move out of the bottom three but it’s hard to make a case for either side winning this. Bolton are now six games without a win and have only one home win to their name this season. West Ham are seven away games without a win and have only won on the roads once.

We think Bolton might just be feeling the pressure and a defeat could leave manager Gary Megson looking for pastures new. In this game we’re going to go with the over 2.5 goals at 9/10 (Bet365) and the away win for West Ham at odds of 2/1 (Ladbrokes). Our selection to be first goalscorer is going to be Diamanti 8/1 (Coral).

JP Trophy

In the five previous clashes between Hereford and MK Dons, Hereford have only managed to score one goal. The Dons have been going through a poor run of form lately but we think they can win this one. MK Dons look a good price at Evens (Ladbrokes) and we’re selecting a 3-0 scoreline 16/1 (Bet365) to be the outcome.

Scotland

Rangers can go back to the top of the SPL with a win over Dundee United at Tannadice, but that might be easier said than done. Dundee United are on a great run of form at the moment and are unbeaten in their last nine league games. Rangers do have a good record in the league against Dundee United (they haven’t lost in their last 7 meetings in the SPL) but they have looked vulnerable at the back in recent games and at 10/11 (Skybet) look a bit too short a price to be plunging on to.

The over 2.5 goals at 17/20 (Bet365) could be worth a bet; while the half/time fulltime bet of Draw/Dundee United at 8/1 (Ladbrokes) is a bet we like.

The home win is available at 16/5 (Skybet) and looks far too big a price to be ignored. We’re predicting Dundee United to win 2-1 12/1 (Coral) and think Craig Conway 16/1 (Skybet) could land the opening goal at big odds.
