It’s debatable if things can get any worse for Portsmouth, but we think Southampton will add to their woes by knocking them out of the FA Cup this weekend. Southampton come into the match unbeaten in six and in great spirits, while doom and gloom surrounds the Portsmouth camp.

We feel this match has all the hallmarks of a cup upset. We’re predicting a win for Southampton 2/1 (Skybet). We are also selecting a bet on the over 2.5 goals 11/10 (Bet365) and taking the 3-1 correct score28/1 (Skybet).

Chelsea are 1/6 (Coral) to beat Cardiff and we can’t see there being any other outcome. Cardiff are in decent enough form and will put up a good fight, But we just think class will tell at the end of the day. Our prediction is a 2-0 win for Chelsea 11/2 (Skybet). A first goalscorer bet on Frank Lampard 11/2 (Paddypower) might bring a profit.

Manchester City are unbeaten in 12 at home and have won their last six. We believe their excellent home form will be enough to see them through against a Stoke team who don’t have great away record. Stoke haven’t managed a goal in their last couple of visits to City and so taking Manchester City to win to Nil 11/8 (Bet365) is an option that is worth close scrutiny. We are predicting Manchester City to win 1/2 (Paddypower). A 3-0 correct score bet 9/1 (Bert365) will be having a bit of our money on it.

Derby are in fair form at the moment, but Birmingham are a team who don’t give too much away and Derby might not be able to break them down. Our prediction is a Birmingham to win 11/10 (Ladbrokes) by 1-0 7/1 (Ladbrokes). Barry Ferguson 20/1 (Bet365) is our selection to be first goalscorer.

Reading are on a good cup run, but West Brom’s away form has been impressive this season. The away win for West Brom is on offer at 13/8 (Coral) and that looks too good a price not to be taking. We’re going for the match to end in a 3-1 scoreline 25/1 (Coral).

With three of the last five meetings between Bolton and Tottenham ending in draws the 12/5 (Paddypower) on offer for a draw on Sunday appears to be worth taking. Neither team go into the match in any great form so the draw is our selection along with an under 2.5 goals bet 17/20 (Bet365).

Aston Villa should overcome a Crystal Palace side that will give it their all, but probably come up a little short. We’re tipping a win for Villa 8/11 (Ladbrokes) by 1-0 6/1 (Ladbrokes).

In the last round Nott’s County beat Premier League opposition away from home and you can get 6/1 (Paddypower) about them doing it again at Fulham. We would be looking for at least double those odds before contemplating that bet, and so we’re taking Fulham to grab a home win 1/2 (Bet365). We’re predicting a 3-0 win for Fulham 9/1 (Bet365) with Damien Duff 10/1 (Coral) our pick as first goaslcorer.
