Our Best Football Bets for This Weekend
Friday
Leeds United can maintain their 100% record with a win away at Southend. Leeds have looked impressive so far this season and although Southend haven’t been beaten so far at home, we still believe Leeds will just edge a close match.
Our prediction an away win Evens (Coral) with a 1-0 scoreline 6/1 (Ladbrokes).
In league Two Accrington are at home to Darlington and this looks like it should provide a home win Darlington have got off to an awful start to the season and Accrington at 11/10 (Coral) look worth a bet.
Saturday
Portsmouth and Bolton are both still without a point so far and we think Portsmouth may well still be pointless after this match. We don’t expect there to be too much between the teams, but we think Bolton have shown a little more than Portsmouth so far and so we’re selecting an away win.
We’re having a bet on Bolton 9/5 (Paddypower) and taking a chance on a 1-0 scoreline 7/1 (Skybet). Kevin Davies 15/2 (Coral) is our first goalscorer selection.
Sunderland did the double over Hull last season and we believe they are worth a bet at 3/4 (Bet365) to get a home win. Sunderland have looked lively upfront this season and we’re going for the over 2.5 goals bet 11/10 (Coral).
Our prediction is a 2-1 win for Sunderland 7/1 (Paddypower) with Darren Bent 9/2 (Skybet) to get the first goal.
Peterborough look to be finding life in the Championship difficult and QPR appear to be worth a bet to get a home win when the Posh come visiting.
QPR to win 5/6 (Ladbrokes) should bring a return.
Three of the last five games between Gillingham and Millwall have ended all square and we’re taking this match to end in a draw too.
Our prediction is a draw 12/5 (Skybet) with a 1-1 score 11/2 (Ladbrokes).
Charlton look to be worth a bet to keep up their winning ways and we recommend a home win for Charlton 8/11 (Coral) against Bottom of the league Southampton.
Bradford have shown improved form after a poor start to the season and they look a good price to get a home win against Burton.
Take Bradford at Evens (Bet365) and a bet on a 2-1 correct score 8/1 (Skybet) can also be a winning bet.
Inverness probably haven’t made as good a start to life in Scottish Division One as many people expected, but they look favourites to beat Morton away from home on Saturday at a decent enough price.
We‘re predicting a win for Inverness 5/4 (Coral) a bet on a 2-0 result 9/1 (Bet365) can provide a return on your stake.
Sunday
Fulham have won four of their last five home games against Everton. We think the home team might just shade this one and they look a good price too. There’s never many goals in these matches, so a bet on the under 2.5 goals 4/7 (Paddypower) looks a pretty safe bet.
We’re predicting a win for Fulham 17/10 (Skybet) and taking them to win by 1-0 7/1 (Ladbrokes).
In the SPL Hamilton are still without a point and Hibernian should claim the three points in this one. Accies haven’t managed a goal in their three previous SPL matches with Hibernian and we believe Hibs could win this comfortably and are taking them to win to Nil 5/2 (Skybet).
Take the 11/10 (Ladbrokes) and try a small bet on the 3-0 correct score at 20/1 (Skybet). Colin Nish 6/1 (Paddypower) is our pick to be first goalscorer.
