Wednesday /Thursday Football Betting
We expect there to be goals again in the second leg match between Manchester United and AC Milan. The first match ended 3-2 to United in the San Siro and you can get 25/1 (Coral) on that happening again at Old Trafford. We are going for a bet on both teams to score at 5/6 (Paddypower) and the over 2.5 goals 4/5 (Coral). We’re predicting a 2-1 win for United 7/1 (Ladbrokes). A bet on Paul Scholes 14/1 (Skybet) to be first goalscorer could be worthwhile.
Real Madrid trail Lyon by 1-0 and a goal for the French side in Spain would really mean Real were up against it. Lyon won’t sit back and defend as that’s not their style and this is another game where taking both teams to score 4 /5 (Paddypower) could be worth an investment.
With Real needing at least two goals to go through –and with Lyon fancied to nick a goal-it might be worth taking Lyon to qualify at odds of 13/10 (Bet365). We’re going for Real to win the match 2/7 (Skybet) by 2-1 8/1 (Ladbrokes) with Ronaldo 10/3 (Skybet) our pick in the first goalscorer market.
Premier League
Burnley badly need a win, having only managed three points from their last eight league games. Three points would take them out the relegation zone, but opponents Stoke won’t be easy to beat (even with their poor away form) and this game could end in a draw. Take the under 2.5 goals bet at 7/10 (Bet365) along with a draw 23/10 (Ladbrokes). We’re predicting the match to finish 1-1 11/2 (Skybet).
Championship
We’re predicting Reading will keep their good home form in the league going and take all three points from their match with Derby. Reading have won their last three home games against Derby without conceding a goal. They are 21/10 (Paddypower) to win to Nil and that looks a bet to get on. We are also taking Reading to win both halves 9/2 (Paddypower).
For us it has to be a home win 10/11 (Coral) and we think a limited bet on a 3-0 scoreline 16/1 (Coral) might be profitable. Our first goalscorer bet is going on Simon Church 6/1 (Paddypower).
Europa League - Thursday
Juventus have lost one third of all their league games this season and have only kept three clean sheets from the 14 home matches they have played. They are not the force they once were and while still dangerous opponents we wouldn’t be jumping in to take the 4/9 (Ladbrokes) about a home win. Fulham have been a revelation in Europe this year, but this is their biggest test and at 13/2 (Coral) there are bound to be some takers. We think Fulham could sneak a goal and we are predicting a draw 3/1 (Bet365) with a 1-1- scoreline 7/1 (Skybet).
Just when you think Liverpool are somewhere near back to their best they put in a terrible performance like the one at Wigan. They travel to France to play Lille and if this were a Liverpool team playing at their best we would have little hesitation in putting them up to win at 11/10 (Skybet). Unfortunately Liverpool aren’t at their best and against a team who have a good home record and who have found the net in all but one of their home games this season the home win at 2/1 (Paddypower) appears to be good value. We’re predicting a home win with a 1-0 scoreline 17/2 (Skybet).
