Our Betting Guide to the Euro 2008 Championships

The Euro2008 Championships start on Saturday June 7th when sixteen teams battle it out to become the best International side in Europe. The sixteen teams are divided into four groups of four teams with the winners and runners up from each group qualifying for the Quarter Final stages.

The tournament is being co-hosted by Switzerland and Austria with each country providing four venues each for matches to take place. Group A and Group C matches will be held in Switzerland, while Group B and Group D matches will be held in Austria. The Final will be played on June29th in Vienna.

With 31 games taking place over a three week period there are going to be plenty of betting opportunities available and we’ll be looking at all the different betting options and analysing the teams and players we think may be worth backing during the tournament.

Types of Euro 2008 Bets

Match betting

You will be able to bet on each individual group match being played with home away or draw results available. Special bets will also be available from most bookmakers for First goalscorer, anytime goalscorer, Correct score, Goals scored in a match and a whole host of other bets ranging from the number of bookings during a game to the time of the first goal scored.

Outright Tournament Betting

Prices are on offer from all bookmakers on who will win the tournament. With each way bets of ½ the odds available on your selection winning or reaching the Final.
